    Thanks for analyzing Show-Go and coming back to beatboxing. If you want to check out other beatbox performances that incorporate interesting singing techniques I’d suggest Stitch - Feels Like Nothing, Gene - Metamorphosis, D-low - Sing a Little Harmony, River - My Way, or the duo Jairo - Fuego that have been getting popular lately!

    I've seen a comment under a video of his that really rings true for me. It talked about how different beatboxers are interesting for very different reasons. Some are fast, some are bassy, some have pretty unique skills like Stitch's polyphonic voice, and Show-Go on top of being very technically skilled, has a really intricate sense for the musicality of his pieces. All the songs I've heard from him so far, have been tied together really well and had a clear, yet interesting flow to them.

    Though there are so many sounds used in the track, I would the point out the sounds that you are curious about.
    2:33 The initial sound is called "vocal bass", the way to do this sound is to let your uvula, and shape your mouth like an O to let the sound resonant with both lips and uvula.
    4:12 the deep bass here is called "throat bass", it is the same way as the Mongolian's so called throat singing. It utilizes the tissues near the vocal chord to vibrate together, making a deep voice, though they are actually on the same note.
    5:42 The deep bass without the vocal is called "tounge bass", which obviously, is made by rolling your tounge. He get this deep bass effect by closing his mouth almost entirely. And by letting the air stay in his mouth, it creates a unique effect, as if the sound is coming from a closed box.
    6:27 the sound is called "fish snare", it's a snare sound created by beatboxer FootboxG. To do the sound, you simply say the word "Fish" loudly, and remove the vocal part.
    Show-go is truly a incredible beatboxer, his timing, clarity and flow are almost flawless. He always make the track enjoyable and somtimes I would forget how hard it is to do the sounds because he make it look so easy!
    Huge appreciation to you for the video, making more people know what "beatboxing" is about. It is a piece of art, and I hope more people can get to know it. If you plan to make another video about beatbox track, I would recommend the track from Wing from South Korea and Codfish from Australia.
    If any of you have questions over any beatbox sounds or techniques, feel free to ask me!

      how to do inward bass

    • @noobcadman
      @noobcadman 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@lowqualitykeycap inward bass is a difficult sound to learn, it took me a few months. The way I think about it is to do chest bass, but inhale. The vibration should be deep down in the throat, not a vocal dry. When you do inward bass, it's easier if you tilt your head back, like you're looking at the ceiling, because you are vibrating the muscle at the back of your throat.
      And drink a lot of water when practicing, if it hurts you should call it a day and continue the next day.

    Btw, not to distract from Mr. SHOW-GO. If you have time to watch Police Academy from 1984, I recommend watching it to see Micheal Winslow. He’s a comedian that I immediately thought of when this reaction video started. Amazing in a similar, yet different way.

    06:34 is actually so funny because the sound is indeed called "fish snare" because you are literally saying fish while biting your lower lip to create a sort of "attack" for the f and then release and go into the "sh" without pronouncing the "I" too much :D

    Please, please, please do more beatbox reactions! You're only just scratching the surface. For example, there are beatboxers with loop stations that can recreate an entire song complete with practically all the instruments using just the sounds they produce with their mouth which they record and play while recording a new layer over it, and with this layering they can create and perform a song live before an audience in a matter of just a few minutes. And if you didn't see them do with their mouths you wouldn't believe that you're listening to something that was produced with all human anatomical instruments. It's just amazing. Do a RUclips search for MB14 La cup as an example. Your mind will be blown!
