I , as a medical doctor regularly give witness statement of REAL women victims of abuse, and I’m a staunch feminist, however that doesn’t cloud my mind in telling the truth regardless of your gender! In AH’s case she lied, and even triggered some of my patients who are real victims of abuse as they felt that her behaviour of gaslighting Depp is exactly how their abusive partner behaved towards them! One should be honest and competent in this field and not clouded by any other motives! Lawyers can easily expose you if you lie!

What is going on with this AH latest nonsense ? This has been going on for far far far tooooo long. Everyone is so sick of listening to her and looking at her smug face and crap that she talks, also listening to all the continuous "reporting" from far far toooo many Podcasters. She should just hand over the Million Dollars then go away. She should have been in jail by now for the Lies, Defamatory Comments, Deceit and Perjury that she should be accountable for. I have no doubt that now that this has now all came to a conclusion there will be a few who want to come gunning for her and her so called "friends". That will be the next drama. Hope they will all get what they deserve as what they all did was unforgivable towards someone that was kind to all of them the blood sucking, using, taking liberties, freeloaders !!!!!

As a European, I didn't expect that this case would be handled in 2022, that's awesome. And I'm happy for Mr Depp, this would be the end, and this should close that door. What about Amber, there are too many words said about that woman. I hope that people noticed what kind of woman she is, and to be avoided.
About that adrenaline rush, they had when exiting the courthouse, is very powerful, and they handled that very well too, that is pure class.

There might have been a few or some that at first thought, oh wow, it's Johnny Depp. But sounds like many, if not most, were young, so they weren't around when so many of his movies came out & didn't grow up watching Jump Street. Even if someone did know who he was & had seen his movies, I think once the initial surprise wore off, it would come down to the case itself & the facts, regardless of who he is. And if they did know him, it could work in the opposite way if they maybe weren't fans. But a lot of that was prob weeded out in voir dire

Johnny's star power is what drew my attention to the trial. I had no idea who Amber was (even though I watched the movie Aquaman) until the US trial was announced. I was not a 'fan' of Johnny, but I knew who he was and had watched a few of his movies. I didn't even know he was a musician. I can say that Johnny's star power had nothing to do with my support of/for him. Amber effectively revealed her own untrustworthiness and dishonesty. Her false accusations were so reprehensible and abhorrent that I wanted to see her go down in flames. The video in the kitchen, audio, photos (#amberturd) spoke very loudly about what kind of person Amber is and what she is capable of. Her past history of violence came back to haunt her, as well. Re: Cease & Desist letter, the veterinary board in my state sent me a cease and desist letter because I was professionally massaging dogs. They said I was practicing veterinary medicine without a license and that I was committing a felony. It worked. They effectively shut down my business with their threat. An attorney told me that it would cost me upwards up to $50,000 to fight it. Of course, I didn't have the money, and I gave up that career.

If she signed the settlement, that is to me is that she has to also accept that the verdict still stands! No amount of her using her ‘voice’ to twist this will change the fact that the VERDICT STILL STANDS!the settlement is a negotiated one to cancel the appeal which she knew wouldn’t have the desired outcomes of a retrial, which is very rare for the appeal court to give! There is nothing in her appeal which would make any court motion for a retrial!no self respecting law form would take AH as a client she is a liability!

I’ve known who Johnny is most of his career and enjoyed some of his movies, I didn’t know who AH was until she started dating him. I heard what the world did that he had abused her and was saddened to hear that. When I started watching the trial I assumed the allegations were true about him but AH was her own worst enemy, along with a great team and a man who owned his stuff. As a DV survivor myself what I saw up close and personal was a man who was the abused and the woman the narcissist, gaslighting abuser. Her going to tmz in the beginning was about getting control of him back (not to have all this happen, when he continued to reject her everything became about hurting him and making herself relevant) this is why so many survivors saw thru her. Btw it was through this trial i became a JD fan. I wish she could get the help she needs and raise her daughter with love but it is clear from her recent to ig post she is nowhere near there. JD has survived her. In spite of her best efforts to kill him

As soon as I watched and heard her tapes and testimony I was horrified and knew she was a LIAR and a 2nd hand story telling. She alone has set back victims decades. She has hurt true victims from not getting justice and that could get a victim killed. I only saw 1 JD movie and didn't know he was also a musician. I always knew he was a left leaning activist, so this entire Court proceeding surprised me. I hope she just shuts up if not, he Needs to take her back to court. She doesn't want to move on. I think she's even avoiding jail time because she also perjured herself a million times on the stand. And at the end of the day again it's either pay 8 million or pay $1 million what's it going to be? She ran away to hide out and now she's out of it for 1 million. Johnny never cared about the money and I truly believe that and I think if she played nice from the very start she wouldn't have paid anything he would have said just move on and let's deal with our own lives he didn't care about the money. • @Heatherzrule
      @Heatherzrule Год назад +2

I think they were smart not to impose a gag order since all she complains about is her "voice" being taken from her... a gag order gives her more fuel to say that she has been victimized and silenced by powerful men using the legal system. This way she can continue saying anything she wants and her credibility has already been damaged to the point where no one will believe her anyway and people will get sick of hearing it. I also think any book deals will be difficult for her to get because publishers aren't going to want to republish claims that have legally been found to be defamatory and open themselves up to litigation.

Peter, I very much agree with @toriphile74 about Depp's settling to some kind of agreement on both sides to not bad mouth one another. Actually, Johnny Depp has been very discreet and pretty much closed mouth, but Heard who always cried victim, doesn't seem to know when to let up! She can stick to her story all she wants but the jurors found her guilty as charged. She was the abuser! Depp was the victim! Done and dusted!! One thing for sure, I wouldn't elect Heard as an advocate or representative for DV. And whoever convinced her to settle this appeal with Depp was very wise, not to mention that it was probably the smartest move on her part to agree to it. I hope this is the end of it!

The more she talks the bigger the fool she looks.

I think, as frustrating as it is that Amber didn’t have to admit anything, Johnny doesn’t need 8 million dollars really. And he likely has the real opportunity to start being in larger budget movies again. If he lets this drag on with women’s abuse activists slamming him at every turn and every time either of them file something in the appeal it might lose him the ability to capitalize on this wave of public goodwill.
This might be the most positively that the general population has ever felt about him. My mother is hardly a trial watcher, never watches movies…but even she had an opinion about how horrible AH is to accuse Johnny.
If he can get 1-2 movie roles off the back of this goodwill he’ll make more than 8 million. And Amber can say what she says…but he can sue her again if she gets too bold. And this loss will make it a lot easier for him to sue her anywhere in the USA at least. I’ll bet he’s even be able to survive the anti-SLAPP in California with a previous judgement against her for defamation for these statements. They wouldn’t even need to venue shop as much, I think.

How AH did look at the jury EVERY SINGLE QUESTION, for even yes or no questions, as she "assumed the position" like she was getting into character or she was better than everyone. It was extraordinarily off putting and very bizarre. Something straight out of a psychological thriller or an heiress condescending attributes of self crowned royalty. Just, as cringe as it gets and absolutely showed a lack of reading the room, emotional intelligence, and process. Sure, look at the jury, periodically. The same as public speaking, scan, move, use the space and room, don't be mechanical and scripted about it.

  • @ED-es2qv

I think the jury saw Amber lie about impossible things, and be pissy about it, so they punished her by believing nothing else she said.
I don’t think they believed everything Johnny said, but they believed that on balance he was not the aggressor and he was not the liar.
I also think people look for gold diggers in these wealthy relationships, and she looks like a bad one. That’s another thing the jury didn’t want to reward.
