    Sainz fought like a bull with McLaren; had it not been for the long pit stop, he would have arrived fifth easily. He kept Bottas behind for 20 laps till the very end and deserves recognition. He was really entertaining to watch. Bravo Sainz!

      @@Tzekkie The temperature inside cars is higher than the ambient temperature. If the track was at 27 degrees it was probably 40 or more inside the car. It is normal in racing cars.

    I can't imagine how exhausted Perez must have been not having a drink after lap 1. Props to him. This race proves you don't need a lot of overtaking to make an exciting race. The strategy game was intense the whole race.

      Love him but Kimi wasn't at fault (marginally) at first, then he got back his position from Gio. The truth is that the Renault was trash this weekend and him fighting close to the points was a typical Alonso overacheivment.

      I do understand why Alonso would want more consistent rulings.
      This year, with its close competition especially, has highlighted weaknesses within the rules and organisational/logistics flaws behind the sport. The FIA would need to address such weaknesses and flaws.

    I always come back to this video and every other race in the 2021 season because it truly was a season like no other. Seeing that for almost every single race, it was always Hamilton and Verstappen at the top, far from the others including their own teammates, makes you realise how talented these two were. This was an insane battle and I hope to see more in the future.

    What a race! The tension at the end was insane. Lewis and Max are truly on another level, best title fight in at least a decade. It looked like Hamilton was going to pass Verstappen easily, but the way Max drove those last laps was near perfect. Also props to Checo for making it into the podium without the drincc for the whole race.

    The last two laps from Max were inch perfect despite a charging Mercedes and a 7 time world champion on his tail. This is what separates him from the rest of the pack. Brilliant drive, superb win.

      @@andrejochemsen The RB is clearly better in the corners due to the shorter wheelbase. But the merc engine is more powerful. I think Max has the better car and learned after his stubborn moves in Silverstone and Monza that a race is longer than 1 or 2 laps and wheel to wheel racing is more important than he thaught it was. This fight will be going down to Dubai.

The fact that he finished at all let alone 3rd is amazing, the gap wouldn’t have been 40+ sec.     It’s incredible how much impact just a tenth of a second can have on the outcome of a race. Max kept Lewis BARELY out of DRS reach which ensured Lewis not being able to get any closer. What. A. RACE!!!

      @@Mahalakshmi-Khan If you are within 1 second of the next car in front of you, you get DRS (Drag Reduction System) which you can activate in certain parts of the track. It opens up the rear wing and gives you higher top speed in the straights.

      @@Mahalakshmi-Khan DRS uses the electric system of the car to boost the speed, which makes a significant difference BUT it is only allowed when a driver is max. 1sec behind the guy in front + it drains the energy system so you can't use it endlessly

      @@rowinpruim1198 no, the electrical boost system is ERS, not DRS. DRS is Drag Reduction System and that collapses the rear wing to reduce aero drag and increase speeds on straights.

    1- Max(maximum) Verstappen winning by undercut
    2- Acura instead of honda
    3- Record crowd in USA to watch this grand prix
    4- Checo giving fight to lewis in lap 1
    5- Vettel in scoring points.
    6- Antonio Giovinazzi getting rubbished in radio which was sad to see
    7- Ferrari getting sandwiched between mclaren
    .....and after all then no Mikey this is not right (it's called a motor race toto)
    What times to be a formula 1 fan!!!!

    As a Dutchman I enjoyed the race and the result. But the most enjoyable was to see the big and proud smile from Checo's father :-) Congrats from the Netherlands to all the Mexican fans, I am looking forward to watch the Mexican Grand Prix !!!

      I think because it's late in Europe and most fans come from there.
      not only that ,in UK sky exclusively holds the rights to show races.
      I believe , you cannot steam it on f1 tv.

    I'm so proud that Americans are enjoying F1 again!! 140k total fans in attendance that's like some of the biggest sports stadiums in college football - hope this sport continues to grow here and we're able to host more races. Same with MotoGP!

      I did notice. He does everything for the team and I’m glad he has found his pace. I think he’s thankful for RB picking him up and he is making sure they’re right about that. With the drink and without the sacrifice for Max he would have been racing for the win. Cheers from NL.

      Classy move. He wasn't quite as fast as Max and he knew it. He finished 44 seconds back. If he took that position on lap 1, Max would have eventually passed him anyway but would have never been able to get the win after that.
