Max is a great driver and Red Bull has great speed , together they have fair grip on winning the title. But I must admire the way Lewis fought back today. It was nail biting I really wanted him to win but he didn’t. Wind gust and the tyre age at the last worked for max momentum. Lewis 2nd pit stop at earlier stage probably would have turn the cards for him
Why Lewis? Max/RBR are the ones you should thank for making a racer of it. Lewis is the defending champ in the best car, best package miles ahead of the rest. Even now, that Merc is lightyears ahead in refinement. Given how fast it is in a straight line and who knows what secret tweaks Merc have in an engine they've perfected for so many years? Whenever they're down on speed they seem to miraculously get a new 'component' and it bumps up the revs.
It’s incredible how much impact just a tenth of a second can have on the outcome of a race. Max kept Lewis BARELY out of DRS reach which ensured Lewis not being able to get any closer. What. A. RACE!!!
@@RamMohammadJosephKaur If you are within 1 second of the next car in front of you, you get DRS (Drag Reduction System) which you can activate in certain parts of the track. It opens up the rear wing and gives you higher top speed in the straights.

I don't understand your statement. Max had plenty of better races. He won here because Mercedes strategist failed. Hamilton pushed hard ( driver of the day in my opinion) but the strategy failed. He managed to have 1s gap with Verstappen only 1 lap before the end. It was too late. For this race, Verstappen proved nothing for me, Hamilton was the best but lost because of Mercedes...
@@mago97615 I think the opposite tbh, Merc pulled the strat right imo, they have boxed RBR and Max into a similar situation several times before and by a simple pit stop regained control of the situation. Hamilton pushed hard ofc but its hard to discount Max’s wearing tyres, theres a reason everyone thought the overtake was inevitable. Max extracted what resources he had left to win it. We all hear of drives where the leader is quickly losing time to the driver behind him and still comes out on top, Alonso at Singapore in 2010 comes to mind. Well said! I second it.
Max is a great driver and Red Bull has great speed , together they have fair grip on winning the title. But I must admire the way Lewis fought back today. It was nail biting I really wanted him to win but he didn’t. Wind gust and the tyre age at the last worked for max momentum. Lewis 2nd pit stop at earlier stage probably would have turn the cards for him
A big amen to that.

I'm new to F1. Can you explain whats DRS?
@@RamMohammadJosephKaur If you are within 1 second of the next car in front of you, you get DRS (Drag Reduction System) which you can activate in certain parts of the track. It opens up the rear wing and gives you higher top speed in the straights.
@@RamMohammadJosephKaur DRS uses the electric system of the car to boost the speed, which makes a significant difference BUT it is only allowed when a driver is max. 1sec behind the guy in front + it drains the energy system so you can't use it endlessly
