  • Winners of their first two games, the Seattle Seahawks have climbed to the top of the NFC West standings, and such early success can lend to some overreaction from fans and media members early in the season. Hosts Corbin Smith and Rob Rang discuss and debate several potential Seahawks overreactions after two weeks of action, including Devon Witherspoon and Riq Woolen's standing as a top three cornerback duo in the NFL, tackle listener mailbag questions, and dish out their weekly Monday Musings recapping key takeaways from Seattle's 23-20 overtime win over the Patriots in Foxboro.

    I agree that Coby Parkinson is a better player than Fant. The reason is he tries very hard. Noah and D Jones just aren't getting it done

      Not sure way Seattle moved on from Coby. The tape told you he was a better player and with actually more upside that Fant has. Maybe they wanted both, flipped a coin and Seattle lost when it came up heads and they sign Fant instead. Jones wasn't anything in Denver and it why Denver let him go. The one play he made in the game Sunday if the RB puts his foot in the ground and stepped outside the RB still might be running. The RB actually ran into Jones tackle. Jone lost the edge completely jumping inside when he was the edge setter.

    I felt even last season that both Dissly and Parkinson were better TEs than Fant. Don't really see what the front office sees in him. Was very unhappy they let both of those guys go, especially Parkinson who was the best receiving TE the Seahawks had in a long while.

    I like the thought of like 3rd a shorts or 4th and one's the goal line. Brady Russell and Laviska Shenault Jr as a battering ram running game! That's 475 lbs of power running.

    Overreaction on Geno after 2 games...it is proven he is a streaky player. Let Geno play the season and go from there. Yet you give LT a "let's not overreact" as you overreact on Geno...after 2 games only...results are polar opposite...

    Kenny Macintosh may have been a good change of pace. Charbonett manned up, blocked well, and made some big plays at the end. The corner of the defense was open. Charbs isn't quite quick enough to get there. He is up the middle. That's why he and K9 are a great duo 😊

    We’re currently ranked 31st in pass rush, something needs to change. There will be better rushers in the season and I don’t necessarily think Tomlinson is the season long answer at LG. I love that Geno can ball out by extending plays with his legs, but he needs a a solid interior line to give him time so he doesn’t have to do so every time.

    Love has played a lot like Cam this year. Not one has played like Thomas. The guy was special. Not many safeties could play single high the whole game and dominate doing it. Thomas may have been a bad teammate in the end, but he was very talented. You plug a young Thomas into this defense it would be scary because he opens you so much more than any safety Seattle now has.

  • @kennylee6499

    Giving him the benefit of the doubt, if he’s not doing well because of injuries, I can live with Noah Fant’s performance for a little bit. I think he can be a great pass-catching tight end (remember the Cowboys game?) but right now, the offense is trying to find its footing and we are operating at like 70% capacity with the OL like this. Grubb needs more time and play quality to fully utilize Fant

    • @larrylindgren9484
      @larrylindgren9484 13 дней назад

      Yet Fant drops two balls. One drop was going to be a huge gain because two defenders right into each other. So instead of a first down and a 20+ yard gain you punt the football. If you are Dk who drops balls every game, you can make up for it when you get 12+ target. JSN had a horrible drop. When you get 3 and you drop two. Not good at all. If a QB has two options he'll throw to the one who catches the ball does not drop it.
