  • After watching Jersey_Central_833’s latest Twitch stream and a few of Hyce’s old RRO videos, I got nostalgic and spent five hours rebuilding the ES&D’s Georgetown Loop! I regret nothing

    Built a route up through that pass way back in the day.. it was terrible.
    The route started at the sawmill (later moved it to the logging camp) then climbed up to the pass and headed left, down into the little valley, before going through the tightest practical curve in history then going down what was then the north side of the canyon. To achieve that, I had to triple stack trestles to get far enough from the cliff face for the dynamic envelope to not hit it.
    If anything derailed there, it would fall down all the way to the bottom of the canyon. And there were a LOT of derailments.
    As a result of all of the above, each train was limited to six cars at a time.
    Okay, next episode, take a BIG engine down the line. I dare you
