Thank you Mr Pinker. I got ahead of my self and commented on this in the last video lol
Looking forward to to language presentation. Much of your work on computational theory of mind inspired me to look at AI development from a different perspective. I spent some time working and helping out with testing on the AARON project from Isomer programing.
AARON was a machine learning neural network that could learn language from scratch through conversation with a user. It took time and patience as you would need when waiting for a child to begin constructing first words and sentences of there own. It was an interest project to interact with and train :)

I find this interesting on a philosophical level. Our perception that we can see the whole scene in detail is accurate, not because the brain has a photograph, but because we can direct our eyes as needed in the blink of an eye. It hardly makes a difference. We are intertwined with the world. We are the world.
Speaking more peripherally to the central point, I find my own peripheral vision is relatively good. Counting fingers is on the verge of reliability. Binocular rivalry is the biggest wrench in the machine. I end up converging on something in the distance, whereas the hand is much closer; the two images don’t line up how they should. With vertical fingers that leads to a wacky combined image. This ties nicely into the stereoscopic theme Pinker seems to be exhibiting.

What's happening with the sound at the beginning of this video? I feel like I am watching Inception.
