This video had literally everything you could ask for when it comes to what makes a great rug cleaning video. Shaggy rug, super foamy, submersion, blue crystals, lots of close ups and POVs, variety of angles and tools, fire hose, manual scrubbing, shots of the drain, clear water scrapes at the end, and the blessed Protima scrapes. Masterpiece 😢
I dunno why he does that - the CRB machine (R2clean2) does the exact same thing only much faster and with considerably less effort required from the operator.
This video was perfection! I love the manual brushing and the blue powder and the fact that the video was slightly longer than normal and all the different camera angles ❤ seriously I can tell you put in a lot of hard work and it definitely payed off. Thank you 😊
James, this will be one of my favs! Great job! Enjoyed all the squeegee parts, the submerged cleaning and I’m so happy we got the see the draining of the pit in action (I hope that is a continued add on to future videos). This is one video I will watch on repeat
I have bad anxiety where my mind constantly runs and ruminates...I don't know what it is with these videos, but when I watch these, my brain just shuts my anxiety off. I like to watch these before I go to sleep and it helps me fall asleep faster. Your videos are a God send to me.
That manual brushing and raking at the end was heavenly 😍 I also adore the colour of this rug. It looked so nasty in the beginning and then you worked your magic and now it's beautiful ❤
Watching your videos left me realizing that you're almost like Dr. Frankenstein with being able to bring life back to these left for dead rugs. From the literal trash pile, into something that a person could proudly display in their own home, you perform some miracle work. It's neat to see when you have to flood the basin for the deep pile rugs, but even they get the same T.L.C. you provide to them all. Carry on the amazing work Doctor!
Could not have been better timing! It’s 10 AM where I am in Chattanooga,TN, USA, and I need to sleep for my graveyard shift at the hospital tonight. Thank you, as always, you lovely, LOVELY man!❤
I have gone back and watched just about all of your videos now and I have to say, this change has got to be my favorite. The most impressive one, to me, by far. This turned out to be a very pretty rug and I hope you found it a good home.
Great job. Loved seeing the entire area of the floor around the rug swiped thoroughly after the initial pass with the rotary, and it was really cool to see the pressure washing of the drain. That was a first and I wanted to see more. I don’t always see the rake when you’re cleaning a shaggy rug, so it was nice to see it here. I wonder if it’s also used when the rug is still soapy and wet? If not, I think it should be. Maybe it’s in the longer member videos. Anyways, great work. This video gave me lots of satisfaction. 🥇 🥇 🥇
And Ps. Thanks for showing us you fetching this rug from the dump site. There are a lot of other carpet cleaning pages that don’t show where they are finding these rugs. Some even fake dirty them with black coloring or a pile of dried wet soil, just to clean them😔 Your authenticity is greatly appreciated 😊
Really great new wide overhead shot of the initial rinse. I appreciate every time you try a new camera angle, in addition to the phenominal cleaning you do, James! Well done on another beautiful rug 😊
amazing! So, I want to apologize to you. A while ago I commented that i thought this was made up and how can these carpets be so dirty. I now know that you work very hard to get these carpets clean, where you find them. Please forgive me for such a bad comment. I really think your site is great.
I know this is an old video but it's literally one of your best ! I watch it at least 10 times a day love the manual scrubbing and the rake at the end❤
more behind the scenes would be nice! i would love (know it sounds weird) to see the space you are working from, the material you use, how the drain system works, how u get so much water etc! the best videos!
My kiddos love watching these videos with me. We especially love to see the amount of muck that comes away along with the buried pattern in the rugs. I am very curious about the water usage & if there’s a filtration & recycling set up of some kind because it’s evident this is a very heavy water consuming process. Thanks for sharing your cleaning process. :-)
Thank you.. I have OCD.. and bipolar 2.. I have been close to hospitalisation and my meds are not working properly, your videos at the moment are the only thing that brings me peace and calm.. it sounds so stupid and i dont know why it works, the whole concept is so stupid really but it does work. Thank you. 😊
I have to say the two most satisfying things for me are the pressure washing parts and the last squelch that comes out of the rug when you step across the rolled up rug
your content is ever so soothing and this one is no exception, its clear just how much effort you put into every rug, even ones as dirty as this. what was the blue powder? is it its own cleaning agent or did it serve the purpose of improving the visibility of dirt leaving the rug?
That rug looks so nice by the time you finished cleaning it. It also looked really cool with the blue soap splashed across the top (😆). I'm glad to see that you finally got a new watering can. I can't say that it wasn't a little bit funny to see the head of the old one fall off from time to time, but I'm sure that it was probably more frustrating than funny for you. I also just had to say how much I appreciate that you make sure that the rug is fully clean by the end. I've seen a number of other channels that do rug cleaning and they often time clean the rugs until the water runs yellow, then put it through the centrifuge, and call it good, knowing full well that there is most likely still some dirt in the rug. I know it's not an easy job, but it's so much more satisfying, knowing that the rug is as clean as it can be.
Your thoroughness was--as usual--outstanding and superb!!! 👏👏👏 I especially enjoy the multi-colored, multi-patterned cleanings that you do!!! ❤ This burgundy rug cleaning was particularly dirty (💪you even did a full immersion cleaning💪)

I could be wrong, but I think the blue stuff is like Oxyclean.? But I very well could be wrong and talking out of the left side of my face. 😂😂 My favorite part of these videos is the slow-motion scapes.
Since I started watching your channel I have cleaned three rugs. It is such a satisfying thing to watch that I wanted to try doing it. It was pretty awesome, but super hard. Keep up the amazing work!
I love what you do to the rugs. Pitty we live abroad as we have a couple of rugs that are desperate for a good clean. I suppose we just end up having to chuck them out and get new ones
I'm so glad they haven't invented smell-o-vision yet! The odors coming off that rug must be absolutely horrific! How do you stand it? Love your channel, BTW.
I bet the smell of this thing was horrendous after coming from the trash heap. Now it's good as new. Great job. I always enjoy the fluffing up raking at the end
Seriously what is wrong with me??? Now I find cleaning rugs satisfying and relaxing just as much (or maybe even more) as pimple popping videos🤣 Except for I can actually watch these videos while I’m in public while I’m waiting at a doctors appointment or while I’m sitting at my daughters therapy appointments for 2 1/2 hours on Wednesday and 1 1/2 hours on Thursday while she’s in her therapy sessions and not have to hide my phone or worry about anyone seeing my screen and think I’m weird 🤣
Perfectly nice rug, thrown away and consigned to landfill. How disgracefully wasteful we are. Thank you for ensuring this rug has a second useful life.

Protima should be renamed to C-squeegy-O
LITERALLY
Still to this day, after all this time, it still blows my mind how much dirt these rugs can hold. Outstanding job James. As always!!!
The amount of manual scrubbing in this video is like a spa day for my brain, no joke. I love it 😩 no one cleans a shag rug like you do 👌❤️
I dunno why he does that - the CRB machine (R2clean2) does the exact same thing only much faster and with considerably less effort required from the operator.
@@ChristopherHallettshe explained why. The videos are for the viewers. The viewers find satisfaction from it.
It would be interesting to see what happens to that nasty water when it’s pumped from the trough!
He made a video of him cleaning out the drain reservoir or something along those lines, I’ve not actually watched it yet but it’s on my list 😅
I think the water gets recycled ♻️ not 100% sure. I know many of the others do.
Where can I find that video 😅
Another one saved from the dump. The transformation is nothing short of amazing .
@@ReeseY585good question. I've been looking and can't find it.

Yay! Thank you! It was quite a lot of work
@@MountainRugCleaningWhat is the blue powder you put on the carpet. Is it like a scented refresher?
@@MountainRugCleaning would you ever scrub in the blue powder manually with the broom? 😊
The sounds are amazing. Still listening 2 months later
I love the blue stuff. I feel like that's what makes the colors of the rug really come out. So satisfying 😍

Awesome! Thank you!
A pink rug, a shag rug, and a flooded clean all on my birthday! I feel like this video was a birthday present to me!! ❤
Happy birthday!
Happy, happy!
Happy birthday! ❤
The carpet looks great but it the looks like it’s red to me
Those muddy scrapes are the best ❤
Have you ever found a rug that you tried to salvage but couldn't? This one was looking almost impossible, yet you did it! Great job!
I'm it here for ASMR, this is just satisfying to watch. The transformations just make me feel good.

The best of the best ! Thanks for showing us where the rug came from.
Yess ! The "finding the treasure" shot is excellent!
That manual brushing and raking at the end was heavenly 😍 I also adore the colour of this rug. It looked so nasty in the beginning and then you worked your magic and now it's beautiful ❤
I love that you take rugs out of the trash. Challenging and satisfying results.
Love that we get to see where you get the rugs from.
Pretty rug! Good scrounging! I like the float technique.

I'll never stop being intrigued by the controlling flooding.
Really must be really effective in helping clean rugs

I Love the roll up and stomp!!! Thank you for your videos!!!!
The best rug cleaner! I'm always here before I go to sleep 😂
Have a good sleep 😴
Cleaning when the rug was submerged was a whole new level of awesome! 👏 👏 👏
that manual scrub was a killer ❤ and so are those scrapes
It’s true one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Great work. When you started to me it was green andI thought it would ever turn out so beautiful.
I absolutely love the flooding method!! Such a pretty rug❤️❤️. And thank you for extractor dump!!
The first round of dirt Reynolds shocked me to my core...my goodness 😂
This is the cleaning method that custodians should use on aerial rugs in public elementary schools during the summer.
Really great new wide overhead shot of the initial rinse. I appreciate every time you try a new camera angle, in addition to the phenominal cleaning you do, James! Well done on another beautiful rug 😊
This was the gift that kept giving! I really feel for your arms!

Wow, what a super nice looking rug under all that crap! You've really perfected your rug cleaning.
Oh thank you!
The first dirt reynolds pass is always the best part 😩😩😩😩
Honestly think that's the most dirt I've seen on the floor so far, and I love it!!
I knew this was a tough job when the carpet didn't even unroll itself. Love your content.
