Great video. 👍 Tech issues are always interesting.
At 9:20, a key reason the A330 doesn’t need the full runway is the aircraft’s weight. Because this is such a short flight for a medium to long haul airliner, it would not have been carrying much fuel, so would have a relatively low takeoff weight.
Similarly, on this Qantas 747 flight I took last year, you can see it doesn’t use that much of the runway: ruclips.net/video/R0YmeoCHzPQ/видео.html
very often I see that A-330 Flight of Turkish in the late morning from the Entrance Terrasse of our House, when the plane starts to the West and takes the 210 gr curve via Nord...

do they still give pillows?
Zbor frumos Este Prietene!👌👌👌😃😃
Amazing trip report. I'm glad they're able to fix the problem. 1h delay for such a technical issue is not very bad though, it could have been much worse
I really had a much bader experience with that. The plane was to start in Zurich and suddenly the Engines began to fail and the Start must be canceled. The Technichal Team was sent from İstanbul with the replacement Plane. Wad to wait 3.5 Hours for that and again 1 Hour because we had too much trafic at Zurich Airport. We did arrived with 7 Hours delay and Fortunately, we were able to get the very last long-distance bus for the onward journey, otherwise we had to wait another 6 hours. From now on we will fly with the Cheaper Pegasus Airlines.
Typical Airbus issue and fix... Although it's usually during the first electrical power on and not during turnaround.
Any reason they abandoned Istanbul Atatürk Airport for this one? And what are the intentions with the old airport? Continuing as a secondary airport for military and or general aviation? Or a Tempelhof scenario or more likely a Kai Tak scenario?
Ataturk airport is not completely abondened.İts now using for cargo operations not everyday but sometimes. Also 35r and 35l runway broke for a pandemic hospital last year.Turkeys main opposition party said that they are going to open there for normal flights again when they become in charge.
I see no problem with the captain's English. I understood everything he said.
Interesting that you did the same route on the train 2 years ago, you must like visiting that part of the world.
Very nice video!!!!
great
What music did you use? I really liked it.
I know right
That is the Turkish Airlines boarding music, you can find it on youtube. There should be 2 different versions. The old and the new boarding music.
LMFAO!hilarious.the narration on the technical issues had me on the floor.
