    Wow! Thank you for this information and your honesty. I’m 57 and take good care of my skin topically. I’ve never had Botox and have been thinking about it more lately. My biggest concern is my forehead due to a very deeply creased wrinkle on my right side. I think I’ll just pass on Botox as the chances of a negative result outweigh any benefit. Wish I had of jumped on the Botox train at 40 so I would have avoided the big crease! Ah well, hindsight is 20/20.

      if you do 1 time ONLY and while muscles are rekaxed you use tretinoin or retinol, that will improve the situation significantly
      but do not repeat botox after that.just make sure u use sunscreen and retinol

    • @kathybayrasli6860

    • @PattiBennington
      @PattiBennington 5 месяцев назад

      @@kathybayrasli6860 thank you so much. I have been thinking about a lip flip. they said a little botox with a little bit of filler - job complete. After doing my research, I shall say NO because it depends on the injector and finding one with experience is almost impossible. I shall leave my 73 yr old lips alone and enjoy the line!

    Same scenario. My dentist did masseter botox on me, aged 40, for teeth grinding. My whole mid face collapsed downwards and inwards. I went to my derm, Dr Davin Lim, who could see what had happened and he injected filler to fix it. He said, "Don't do botox there again. Those muscles are your scaffolding."

      So true. I had a friend whose dentist gave her Botox for TMJ. She was on disability leave for 3 months because she couldn’t hold her neck upright. It was scary as she had trouble swallowing as well.

      i had the same! after 40 never do botox in those muscles. i did it to slim my face and basically the whole face went south.
      as for teeth grinding i solved it with psychologist and antidepressants (which is the real reason for this phenomenon)

    I got dysport in my upper face for the 1st time (55 yo) three weeks ago and now I have hooded, puffy eyes, my eyebrows are flat/parallel to the floor, the space between my eyes is now wider & darker circles under my eyes :( My eyes were one area I really didn't have any issues, thought it would just freshen things up a bit . . . now I look 10 years older . . . I don't understand this new face I have to live with . . . and I am terrified things won't go back to my normal because of my age . . . and I have to wait 4-6 months to find out . . . absolutely regret!!!

    Doctor, thanks for addressing this problem. I, infact, understood this and I am not a doctor. After having Botox done since I was in my mid-forties, I realised that with age “less is really” more. At first my doctor was surprised when I asked for baby doses and only in certain areas. I think now he realises I was right 😊

    I noticed Spock eyebrows 2 days after dysport injection, can I have it fixed right away or I have to wait to the 14th day as the injector suggested? I don’t think it would get any better, why do I need to wait?

    • @harumoomoo
      @harumoomoo 7 месяцев назад

      It's better to wait until the product fully paralyses the muscle ,like the injector recommended. The toxin takes time to get to the point of maximum effectiveness and injecting more before evaluating that could lead to you getting a bigger dose and getting too paralyzed or a brown drop

    Hi Tim, For 2 years in my 60s I received 20 units of botox. Went up to 40 units and had canker sores in my mouth. Was told it was a auto immune problem. I was told that botox does not work in a 65 yo and up patients. I believe your explanation is the reason why. Dr's don't inject. Their staff does.

    I don’t think nurses trained by the supplying company should be allowed to inject. They do the same thing on everyone irrespective of their problem. They also are restricted to the amount they inject. In Australia it’s cheaper to see a nurse.

    • @pamelastgeorge4304
      @pamelastgeorge4304 2 месяца назад +1

      Nurses are well trained,doctors often just get the product reps to do lunch and learn and then inject as a side business to make cash.Registered nurses generally take more education in the topic and anatomy
