    I love it! A couple questions....what size is the cake dummy you made the tree on? And....could I use piping gel to adhere the “snow” and the star instead of shortening?

      Hi Joann! The dummy tier the tree is on is a 6” round that is 5” high. And I do think you could probably use piping gel instead of shortening but I’d test it out on a plate first just to make sure the powdered sugar doesn’t dissolve into the piping gel. I tend to think it won’t but I haven’t actually tried it to be sure. :)

      @@cakeheads ok. Thanks! I was asking because, if someone wanted to eat a tree, I didn’t think they’d want to be eating clumps of shortening. 😬 Maybe they should be told they aren’t really for eating? I don’t really know what piping gel tastes like either.
