Thank you so much. My 30 lb. boga sat in the bottom of my boat tool box unused for about 10 years. Some grease had solidified making it unusable. Thanks to you it now works just like new.
thanks! this was very well presented and easy to follow. I used it on my boga with great results. I have the 30 pound version and it still "sticks" a little on the spring action but it works and now with your video, I can always go back to clean it up again. Thanks for the information!
Hi, actually I don't have any idea where to get a new one. Another alternative, might be something called a pin punch. You can get 2 and use one as a blunt side and another u can grind down as the sharp slotted side. Let me know if u need diameter sizes and i can measure it for you if you need it.
I lost my pin tool as well - can't remember if I ever got it. However, I have a small set of punch pins that worked just as well. I used the smaller punch pin to separate the springs and pushed that out with a larger one step by step. I was able to get it done with out much effort.
Hi. It should not unless you mess with it. Just leave it and don't bend it or stretch it. It will be fine, bogas are meant to be cleaned now and then anyway.

Glad I watched this video. This disassembly showed me how the scale part actually works and the quality of a boga scale. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the video.
Well presented and thanks for sharing 🤙🏼

its a 5/32 (4mm) stainless steel rod with a 45 degree angle grind on the sharp side.
Thanks Mate
Hi how do u tie the knot at the end of the boga rope
Just wondering.. would disassembling and re assembling affect the scale calibration?

I wish I could afford it one day 🥺
You can. Just save up, its cheaper in the long run.
