Story Of Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga Temple - Twelve Jyotirlinga Of Shiva
Kashi Vishwanath is supposed to be the 1st Jyotirling that manifested breaking through the earth and flared to the skies, in doing so establishing his supremacy over all other gods. This temple has a Shakti Peeta along with the Jyotirling.
Shiva in this temple is also known as Vishwanath meaning Ruler of the universe. There is a story in Shiv Mahapurana mentions about the origin of this Jyotirlinga. Once Brahma The god of creation and Vishnu The God of Preservation, debate over their supremacy. To test them, Shiva pierced the three worlds as a huge endless pillar of light, the jyotirlinga. To determine who was mightier Vishnu took the form of a boar and sought out the bottom while Brahma took the form of a swan to fly to the pillar's top. After prolonged period of trying to find the end of the pillar, Brahma out of arrogance lied and said that he had found the end offering a katuki flower as witness, while Vishnu, honestly said that he could not find the end of it and accepted his defeat. Shiva then took the form of the wrathful Bhairava, cut off Brahma's lying fifth head, and cursed Brahma that he would not be worshipped. Vishnu for his honesty would be worshiped as equal to Shiva with his own temples for all eternity.

Benares is on my list of places to go in India if I ever had the money .Benares, Vrindavana, and I think someone said to me once that Kurukshetra is just an empty field, but it would be cool to see where the "Gita" is set. Is there a temple anywhere particularly sacred to Mother Kali? I kind of have three: Lord Krishna, Mother Kali, and Lord Shiva. I'm NOT a Hindu, to be clear, but I love all three of them for what they represent.

Your video's are really Amazing and soothing.
But just a little suggestion (important one).
Better to Stop using extra "A" in the names like it's Shiv not Shiva, similarly it's Ram not Rama and many more.
    Humble request 🙏🏻

You are wrong brother , the actual names are rama and shiva (with A) not ram and shiv

@@piyush9636 Don't know which Ramcharitmanas you read but the one I have has Ram (राम) written in the Hindi translation.
      Same goes for Ashok'a', Mahavir'a', Buddh'a', Karm'a' , Krishn"a" etc etc
If you are referring " Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare" then the Name was altered to fit Ram and Krishn in the same name

@@piyush9636 It's not Sanskrit that includes "A" at the end but South Indian Languages, because in South India adding that extra "A" means giving respect.
