Great looking knives, and you put a lot of work into them. I love watching your videos.

That first squish in the press is always very satisfying 🦾 🤖🤖🤖

    Pretty nice pattern that made.
I reckon you should have a go at making a wootz steel billet.

I think my favorite thing about these videos is seeing how well White-Out canister Damascus works if you take the time for it to dry properly, which is something you don't see on _Forged in Fire_ because of the time constraints.

He is also way more aggressive with the press than most other smiths. Getting that initial forge weld aggressively set is also a pretty major difference.

Its white spray paint not white out. It has the same effect but it applies more evenly and that helps plus the top down press at the begining. With that one press the whole piece is forge welded. Then its just forging down to remove it from the can

He uses white spray paint in his canisters.

@@MarkSmith-lf6sx Yes, I read his comment. In both cases it's titanium dioxide preventing the canister from welding to the billet.

You make beautiful knives, but also functional. I wouldn't be afraid of slicing some brisket with one of your knives.

What would happen to the pattern if you added brass screws into the mix?

beautiful.. but a silly question.. I know you've hardened it, but can the blade be really tough enough using the screws?

Could you possible use Paperclips in a canister? I've seen fish hooks used in a canister. Just wonder how the pattern would look with Paper clips. Just wondering

PLEASE STOP calling videos ASMR if you don't know what it means.
ASMR: An autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
Nobody will all tingly watching this. Channel Blocked.
