Yes you did see my house! It was awesome fun helping Dennis and George and David put the new track on. I'm glad that I only have to "help" from time to time because I'm not sure I could work like that every single day. You guys are some tough old birds with a world of know-how! Thanks for including me on the video!
Phil, it's people like you that make me proud to be part of the Midwest. Neighbors helping neighbors is a centuries old tradition that continues to this day.
Holy crap! Your ole man doesn’t mess around! Most guys would wait for case guys to get there and he was busting hump!!! He ain’t no spring chicken! So much respect for you guys and where our food and supplies come from! I also see David is a beast even though quiet. He is a damn good man.
Great video guys. Cheers for showing that any machine regardless of make all have failures of some type and that farming is 70 percent using equipment and 30 maintaining equipment.
I have to say the Iver organization is made up of some of the hardest working people I have ever witnessed in the farming industry. I hope and pray all of your crops are blessed with the right amount off moisture and sunshine. Then in the fall I hope the bins are busting with the harvested crops, in fact so much you will have to build that new bin you were talking about earlier this year.
Appreciate you bringing us along. I know it’s hard to 🎥 content as it happens and even harder when breakdowns and other frustrations happen. And then ya gotta edit!! Thanks for everything.
Another wonderful video I discovered your channel a couple weeks ago and have been binge watching all your episodes and I think definitely the best farming videos on RUclips can’t wait for the next one.
Hang in there the Lord knows the rain is what you needed timed perfectly with the working on the planter May God bless you and your family In my prayers as always 🙏
wow your poor dad he sure has had a rough spring you guys are the hardest working men I have ever seen when there's is a problem you all jump in and get it done ,, and to think I have heard from folks how easy farming is today ,,, you all have got over 4,000 acres planted and I'm relatively short period of time I think that is quite an accomplishment God bless you and hope everything is successful
After all the hard work and bad breaks your farm has had, I hope your corn yields 400bu/acre and your beans 250bu/acre, I realize these are unrealistic goals, but just wishing you the best, for your quality videos!!!! Thank you!!
Know that I wish your entire operation the best, and I hope a bountiful harvest will help the world turn the tide on a couple years of really bad events. Thank you for posting 😊🙏
Seeing the rain you guys get makes me want to cry! I'm glad it's raining somewhere. But, down here in the Texas panhandle...it is so dry! We have only received around 2 to 3 inches of rain since about last September, October of '21!
We are a pretty wet area, it has its advantages and disadvantages. Dad went down there in 2011 around dalhart about buying some ground but we didn’t end up doing it
Tracks are awesome when they are in track and working but when they jump track on the side of a steep hill where the tractor didn't want to go it sure makes for a long day . I'm sure yours looked like just as much fun as ours was 😅 we have had one major breakdown and h&r has the parts so we should be up and running soon let's hope we can get parts this season because Brandon is sure making everything challenging this season 😅
Next time you you change a track, put tire lube on the idler wheel and the track. It will real help you be able to rotate the wheel to align the lug bolts.
Another good video! Shame about the tracks. You'd think they would give you enough adjustment to be able to change the tracks a bit easier. I hope a Case engineer sees this and sees their mistake. Ivers Farms should be on the Case R and D team permanently with pay!
Love the channel! What’s up with your guys FAA Approved headsets??? 😂. There’s much smaller devices available but I know you guys,(definitely you Reese) know that! Just funnin!
@@iversfarms your up late! This rain got you up staring at computer! Thanks for reply ! But I’m ups. Rain , sleet , snow , rain. I gotta work! Looking forward to Sunday upload!!! All you guys be safe! See ya Sunday morning hopefully!
@@iversfarms oh crap. Dustin still hasn’t planted our field yet. You guys are around the same age. Martin farms. He may not farm any ground in Illinois. Haven’t heard of touchdown in Indiana. Hope all fields are good. If you guys ever go to office of farm or ag or whatever it’s called in Bloomington, lmk! Love to buy you guys a cheap lunch and chat. Good luck with these fert prices.
You should build some kind of bogie cart to transport the planter otr have a set of wheels on a sled type thing you drive planter tracks up cause they do get hot on pavement especially when you have seed in tanks just had a thought as I was panicking lookin for a pond or some body of water a planter shouldn’t look like a meteor entering the atmosphere with a farmer guiding her in
Tracks have alot of benefits but if you have alot of distance between fields they aren't happy. I know a big farmer,20+thousand acres and he went back to wheels on his db 80's for the very reason in this video.
I've had 2 openers get dirt wedged in between them, made no sense to me bearing and opener were all fine, just got spread way apart, took them apart back together then planting in no time
What number did you only get so many of? Did you do a test plot this year? Have you done much on population? Both corn and soybeans. Man I would really like to work with you guys.
We bought one of the first case ih 1250 early riser planters and I remember my dad and grandpa having tons of problems with it the first 2 years. We’ve had it about 10 years now and that thing is just about flawless. Give it some time and hopefully you’ll have the bugs ironed out
I’m not for sure, It must of happened in the field sometime before he left. It could of happened when the other one fell off but he had run a lot on it after that.

Great video Reese and Dennis
My definition of a farmer is a mechanic with a bad gardening habit. Another great video 👍
😂😂 hadn’t heard that before

S-M-O-O-O-K-I-N!! Dennis, Dennis, Dennis 😂
Y’all can put a lot in the ground in a hurry! Love the big equipment and y’all’s work ethic!!
I’m absolutely loving this double episode this week
Great video I love how you show both bean and corn planting and go back and forth nothing beats an Ivers video

Great vid again Reese.
Farmers doing hard work! Sad to see your dad having issues hope yall can get it up and going soon!
Great to see you got the black hats back in stock 👍 order one last night, thanks for another video.
Another gem Reese, y’all keep hammering away and keep em comin guys🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

That's a lot of farm knowledge and experience you had replacing the track.
Good rain next week, hope ya get it all in on time

Great stuff enjoying the content in the UK
Great. Well done.
Glade you are getting the corn in Your dad has had alot o trouble with his planter I be ready pull my hair out if I had any.

Helps with the quad as well

That’d be a sweet gig
You weren't kidding about things getting worse before they got better. Man. Hopefully that was the last road block for the bean planter.
I think it’s good now but it’s currently raining
Feeling your pain on the planter tracks. Frustrating if not downright aggravating.

😂😂😂 you’re right he shouldn’t
He always makes sure his tanks are empty for the long drives.
We “think” it’s fixed now
how does that magnum hand the 24 row?
Just fine

They do have there downside sometimes
It’s interesting to see the different machinery brands just wondering if you have ever looked a Kinse planters and what do you think of them
I’ve never ran one. They used to be very popular in this area.
If your dad had it to do over again, would he go with tires instead of tracks on his planter?
I asked him that and he says no
I've had 2 openers get dirt wedged in between them, made no sense to me bearing and opener were all fine, just got spread way apart, took them apart back together then planting in no time
I had the exact same thing happen to me this week
👍
What number did you only get so many of? Did you do a test plot this year? Have you done much on population? Both corn and soybeans. Man I would really like to work with you guys.
There’s a few newer numbers I just got a little to try
0953, 1136, 1222, 1511 &1718
We have a few pop test in both crops

Best planter on the market IMO
What caused the track to go bad?
Bossman runnin' so fast to the field he scorched the wind(tracks) and burnt the grass!
I’m not for sure, It must of happened in the field sometime before he left.
It could of happened when the other one fell off but he had run a lot on it after that.
We got rid of our Case planter because it was way too heavy even with the tracks. Deere planters all the way now…..
They are much heavier about 10,000lbs
I do think deere has fixed the issue with the DB 60 frame cracking
Reese, could you rob a closing wheel off an end row and shut the end one off to continue planting, till the part showed up?
Yeah you could but it’d throw the rows off for the combine in the fall
Well your idea work better back in that nut off
