Plus you guys have beautiful people too. Women here in the USA just love it when I go down under, I sometimes dream of being in Australia just living in the bush all the time. Seriously though you guys have introduced the world to some incredible talent from Olivia Newton John, Helen Ready rip to both to The Little River Band and AC/DC ect……. 👍🎶🎵
He gets so shook by such innocuous lyrics, lol. Elementary school years, big hit at the time. When we'd have indoor recess we'd brign in records to play, this was played a lot. SCANDALOUS!!
Yeah T, this was another Top 40 Billboard Hit!! It spent 2 weeks at #1 in 1981. It received major play on the radio. And it made Rick Springfield a music star, who before then had been an actor who played a heart-throb Doctor on the Soap Opera, General Hospital.
Oh yeah, RICK. LOVE me some Rick Springfield. My daughter and I went on all 4 of his "Rick and Friends" cruises from 2008-2011. The man and band put on one heck of a great show. you may want to check out "The Beat Of The Live Drum" which is a concert that was made in 85 and you will not believe the man's kicks. He is going to be 74 this August 23. He still ROCKS OUT in his shows. The kicks aren't as high now as in 85, but the energy of the concerts cannot be beaten. Rick was my 1st concert back in 85 {not the one mentioned, but a different one}, and both of my kids, as well as my 3 oldest grandkids' 1st concerts, were also one of Rick's. My daughter and granddaughter who are of the same age had their 1st Rick at the same concert. My son's was a the following year when he was along with my daughter during the 2nd Rick cruise. All the teens and preteens were equally impressed by the shows, even though not admittedly their kind of music.
Everyone seems to think he’s doing his buddy dirty. Not at all! Tell me any group of buddies or gals in High School which didn’t all have a crush on the hottest girl or guy in school. They aren’t all gonna just turn that off because one of their buddies or girlfriends is finally dating the hottie for awhile. He isn’t making any moves on “Jessie’s Girl”… For the perfect flip side of this song, try: The Cars ~ “She’s My Best Friend’s Girl (But She Used To Be Mine)”
Rick Springfield was my first concert, only way me and friends could go was that my mom took us ,she sat in the seats while we stood on the floor, where she could see us,we were only 13,lol,miss u mom,,,love from a small town in Virginia
I was a twelve year old girl when this song came out and Rick Springfield exploded onto the scene. I didn't even watch General Hospital but I watched it that summer. Only fan club I've ever joined. I have a memory of getting some pictures but his second album didn't do as well so I think it was a short lived fan club. I moved on to Duran Duran fairly quickly if I remember. lol
This was a very popular song in the 70's! Rick Springfield had an excellent voice, he also played on the daytime soaps, General Hospital, I think. Oh yeah, friends never lust over each other's girlfriends, huh?
There are a lot of awesome Rick Springfield songs and of course “Jessie’s Girl” is one of my favorites. My other favorites are “Love Is Alright Tonight”, “Love Somebody”, “I’ve Done Everything for You”, “What Kind of Fool Am I” and “Human Touch”. Just another example of why the 80’s music scene and era was so awesome
I'm old. ( 55 yes thumbnail is recent ) I was in love with long haired 70s Rick. By the 80s I was basically over him. LOL Contrary to popular belief. He did not get his start on General Hospital. I was four. When I first saw him sing ( Speak To The Sky ) on the Sonny & Cher variety hour.( his first hit in America ) A crush was born. Shortly thereafter. Age 5 or 6. I discovered he had his own ( short lived though it was ) Sat. morning cartoon. Which I of course watched. It seems his looks. The sheer Teen Beat heartthrob, of it all. Stalled his until then. More serious career. As a musician. Still needing to eat. He took acting classes, & used those looks. Which is why.... Next I saw him acting in episodic TV. He was on some of my fav. shows. At least 2 episodes of Wonder Woman. A recurring character on Nancy Drew, & he played Apollo's little brother in the pilot episode of Battlestar Galactica. ( Of course he was blown up by a Cylon in the first 5 min. LOL ) Those are just the parts I saw. The shows a nine year old me, watched. He was about 30 When he stepped onto GH. Thirty two before he finally started having the music career / fame, he'd worked for. It was far from sudden. I was not a fan of the spikey mullet. ( circa 1983 ) By the time he became screaming girls famous. I had moved on. You Should react to Zoot. A band he was in. ( 1971 ) They had a big hit. With a harder rock version of Elinor Rigby, by The Beatles. Also checkout the 50th anniversary cover of Life In A Northern Town. Released in 2018. They ( Zoot ) still sound amazing.
I always took it as, He thought Jessie's girl was hot and perfect for him. But since his buddy already had her he wants a girl like her. "Where can I find a woman like that?"
Please listen to "Souls" by him..Awesome Tune ,🖤🖤 Rick Springfield is one of the most liked and respected guys in music, Aslo an actor and the heartthrob of many many ladies.
It's one of those songs that is so catchy you dont really think much about the lyrics until you really stop and think. you just sing along not paying attention
It’s reminds me being a little girl and sneaking to watch General Hospital, which Rick Springfield was on before the single became a hit😂😂 I’ll always remember that . And who doesn’t know this song?
It's actually mind boggling to think that he's never heard this song before. it's almost like he's never listened to the radio before or gotten out of the house in public.
Yo T, there's a sequel to the events of this song. It was a collab between Coheed & Cambria and Rick Springfield, released a couple years ago. It's on YT, called "Jessie's Girl 2".
@@TheAdventuresofTNT Just discovered you guys, but now I have to see T scandalized again! Can you react to Rick Springfield’s “Inside Sylvia”, the Divinals’ “I Touch Myself”, Prince’s “Darlin Nikki” and Vanity 6’s “Wet Dream” please!
If you wanna hear something heavier from Rick, his 2004 album Shock/Denial/Anger/Acceptance is really good. I recommend either Wasted, Jesus Saves, or Every Night I Wake Up Screaming! My favorite of his 22 studio albums. Yes 22!
It always cracks me up when people react negatively to the lyrics 🤣 Just goes to show that they're not really listening to the actual lyrics but just a couple of words. He never acts on his feelings, he just says he wants to find a women like his friend has.
The unwritten law I've always heard was " No friends or relatives lovers " but not everyone is down with laws when it comes down to wanting something or someone really bad !! ✌️
I eventually came to love this song but when it first came out I saw it as a copy cat song bc I was (and still am) a huge fan of The Cars...after listening more carefully I realized it's not the same at all. Of course these are just my opinions but I think Jessie's Girl is about being jealous that a friend has found what he is looking for...My Best Friends Girl isn't about the guy at all...it's all about the girl...she's a little heartbreaker!
I'm in tears at how T is trying process this song that hints of disrespect and a bit of infidelity. All the while Trish is just rockin' out. Keep your mouth shut T and let your wife and thoroughly enjoy this tune. There's no way out.
He's jealous of his friend. But he's not acting on it. He'd like to tell her how he feels, but knows it wouldn't do any good. Jessie's girl is all about Jessie. The last verse tells us why he may not be successful finding "a girl like that". He's looking in the mirror and practicing his lines ... he needs to work on his sincerity.
This is not as bad in behavior as My Best Friend's Girl performed by The Cars 🚗. L 🤣L. Jessie's Girl. Written by Rick Springfield. In concert then Tim Pierce played lead guitar 🎸. The late Bret Tuggle, RIP, on touring keyboards. Girl has gotta school 🏫 her man! L 🤣 L Suggested song: Rick Springfield sings Don't Talk to Strangers.
His producer wanted him to write a number of songs ..... they were OK but not great .... When the producer heard this he told Rick that this is a....SMASH HIT .... at first Rick didn't think much of the song ........ AND THE REST IS HISTORY
I love T’s facial expressions while Tasha’s just jammin’ 😂😂😂
That's a good man, there. He's not hearing ANY of that!!
Yes, was thinking the same thing!
Rick Springfield also starred in the soap opera General Hospital at the same time his music career hit it high
Dr. Noah Drake
Yup and Apollo's little brother in the original "Battlestar Galactica ", very young.
Sarah I have the DVD to the mini series of Battlestar Galactica with him in it
@@russelljudkins3314 it was a fun show. I read the book too. Show was full of poster boys lol
Dr Noah Yes!
Another Australian singer....we are so lucky to have so many fabulous singers and bands that come from this beautiful country of ours. 😊
soooooo true!!

Not often you hear the word "moot" in a rock song, so credit to old Rick for that.
Yeah, they played the hell out of this back in the day.
Rick Springfield - A soap opera actor and singer.
T - No I've never heard this before" Tasha "And here we go again" lmao.
Nice reaction! Jessie’s Girl was #1 on the Billboards the week MTV started in 1981
Did NOT know that......here again....comment section educating an old rocker like myself. Kudos.
Rick Springfields greatest hits has some of the BEST musical transitions I’ve ever heard in my life! ❤ thank god my mom put me on him back in day.
He gets so shook by such innocuous lyrics, lol. Elementary school years, big hit at the time. When we'd have indoor recess we'd brign in records to play, this was played a lot. SCANDALOUS!!

Love it! You guys are great to watch and very warm and authentic. Do another 80's live steam.
I was 16 when this came out, had the .45 and played it over and over...and also loved him as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital :)

An Aussie who made it onto US daytime soap operaas
He was in a band in Australia called Zoot before he went over to the US

Classic. He was an actor too on afternoon Soaps.

Sammy still gives him a hard time over "I've Done Everything for You" 😂. Sorry, but I prefer Rick.
Rick Springfield has bangers lmao ❤
Great song. He wants but knows he can't have her. His question is (Why can't I find a woman like that?)
He's wondering what he's doing wrong?
Go Tasha!
Loved this song so much. Had his picture in my locker.
What rock has T been under? 😂
Good thing he's cute.
I luv it when Tasha tears up Tee!!!
Haha i loved this reaction! Subscribed 🙂

He’s just Wishing, 🤣🤣, it has a great groove
“He’s in the corner like 👏😛” 🤣🤣
I always took it as, He thought Jessie's girl was hot and perfect for him. But since his buddy already had her he wants a girl like her.
"Where can I find a woman like that?"
Exactly. You get it
Yes. These younger generations need to lighten up, and just enjoy things for what they are.
Please listen to "Souls" by him..Awesome Tune ,🖤🖤
Rick Springfield is one of the most liked and respected guys in music,
Aslo an actor and the heartthrob of many many ladies.
It's one of those songs that is so catchy you dont really think much about the lyrics until you really stop and think. you just sing along not paying attention
You two are hilarious!
I love her reaction. She's just digging the song. Also, you can't control attraction. That's human. It's not like Jessie's girl ditched Jessie.
It’s reminds me being a little girl and sneaking to watch General Hospital, which Rick Springfield was on before the single became a hit😂😂 I’ll always remember that . And who doesn’t know this song?
Every guy has wanted somebody's girl...
This a great song! Very tongue in cheek, and the last line of Rick's vocal part is priceless 👌
For another take on Rick try his cover of Sammy Hagars -- I've done everything for you.
Of course, those of us who have watched the movie, "Boogie Nights" will always associate this song with the most tense scene ever filmed.
Check out "Affair of the Heart" and listen to the guitarist cut loose in a blistering solo.
One of the best reaction
I love Tasha's reactions
Every human on earth has heard Jessies Girl lol. ❤😊
Great guitar playing.
I'd love to see you guys react to some rockabilly! The Rev Horton Heat is a good one, his song "Let Me Teach You How to Eat" is a great song!

Great song and video as is Don't Talk to Strangers. Both of them are rather dark.
Rick Springfield was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you wanna hear something heavier from Rick, his 2004 album Shock/Denial/Anger/Acceptance is really good. I recommend either Wasted, Jesus Saves, or Every Night I Wake Up Screaming! My favorite of his 22 studio albums. Yes 22!
Great song!
Rick is 70 something years old now.
I bet these days...he wishes he had Jesse's hip
His first hit was "Speak to the Sky" and it was a gospel song
It always cracks me up when people react negatively to the lyrics 🤣
Just goes to show that they're not really listening to the actual lyrics but just a couple of words.
He never acts on his feelings, he just says he wants to find a women like his friend has.
Pure early 80s banger!
Rick Springfield has a lot of songs. Go down that rabbit hole
Pure cheese right there.
The unwritten law I've always heard was " No friends or relatives lovers " but not everyone is down with laws when it comes down to wanting something or someone really bad !! ✌️
Daaaaang!!! 😮😂
He Got Jessie’s Girl & Married Her!!
i know you all do your separate music reactions but I just love ya all together.
Also don’t talk to strangers is another hit by him I think will shock you as well
I'm on Rick's side, Jessie didn't deserve that girl.🙂
Pat Benatar’s husband, Neil Giraldo, played guitar on this.
This is my favorite song to see new reactions too. It’s a good but shocking song.
You should definitely check out some more RS … don’t talk to strangers is a cut
There is a music video for this song.
This is the only song I'm aware of that uses the word "moot".
Rick be breaking Commandment # 10, fixin to break Commandment #7, driven by the one Deadly Sin which should be obvious, lol.
His face!
Nice like Canada! 🙂
In those days Rick could have stole Jessie's girl and we would have still loved him lol so Handsome
classic song :) to be honest i know it from Movies .
i'm glad i was born in 1970. 70-90s music was the best.
If only on your own, please watch the official video, the ending is hilarious!
Excellent muscian. Not only can he sing and act he took a Sammy Hagar song, recorded his cover and made it a much bigger hit😂
I eventually came to love this song but when it first came out I saw it as a copy cat song bc I was (and still am) a huge fan of The Cars...after listening more carefully I realized it's not the same at all. Children Of Bodom puts a metal twist to this song and its pretty awesome.
I'm in tears at how T is trying process this song that hints of disrespect and a bit of infidelity. All the while Trish is just rockin' out. Keep your mouth shut T and let your wife and thoroughly enjoy this tune. There's no way out.
Jessie must be something else to beat out Rick Springfield 😂🔥
Sorry T, Tasha is right when she said “in life” this song is played a lot lol.
Gonna have to do Ah Leah , Donnie Iris
And of course Jenny , Tommy Tutone .
you should check out jessie’s girl 2 by coheed& cambria with rick springfield
Stacy's mom good luck.
😂😂😂😂
If you saw Jesse’s girl, you would want her too. 😂
Bwahahahah 😂

Rick's a dog, guys. hehehehe
Why did 12 -13 year old me think this was so romantic?! I wanted to be Jessie's Girl just to Rick would be in love with me🤣
If you like this you should hear some Cory Hart: I wear my sunglasses at night and Never Surrender
Hey, jealousy happens, it's just life.
Suggested song: Rick Springfield sings Don't Talk to Strangers.
Does he know Stacy's Mom?
Hey, do you even listen to the radio?
You guys need to do THe Knack "Good Girls Don't" amazing song better than my sharona.
Tasha please do a reaction to 'Stacy's Mom' by Fountains of Wayne I'd love to see T's face !!
😂
His producer wanted him to write a number of songs ..... they were OK but not great .... When the producer heard this he told Rick that this is a....SMASH HIT .... at first Rick didn't think much of the song ........ AND THE REST IS HISTORY
Speaking of scandalous, if you like this check out Bobby Womack's "I Wish He Didn't Trust Me So Much."
Very catchy song, yet I alway think ‘thou shalt not covet’ . Rick must have skipped Sunday School.
You didn't want to be named Jesse when this song first came out
I Love when Tasha starts jammin out!😘😘👍👍
