My idea of a phuket/krabi holiday would be to get on a bike with a tank top and shorts, lie down and swim n random beaches , get tanned, trek less populated capes. And then go to a local bar and have few well earned beers. Its fancy and interesting to watch all the luxury on display, but somehow it feels soulless

Love Thailand. Bangkok is insane, so much to see and do. Did you go to Siam Paragon shopping mall? It has one of the best Thai silk designer's Jim Thomson collection - pieces that are rare to find elsewhere - and there are a number of cafes to spoil yourself and eat. I spent a full afternoon there alone, last time I was in Bangkok. Love the country, love their nature and culture. But most importantly love the people: warm, humble and very polite - something we europeans can learn from.
I like your travel style and you know which spots to hit. I think Southeast and East Asia in general are at the top of the world in terms of architecture and design of everything from hotels to clubs to cafes to malls to airports.
