- Thank you all for helping me reach 2000 subscribers! It really means a lot to me. As a "gift", I remade my popular video "Different Types Of Railroad Crossing Bells". This version includes more bells, and also explains what Electronic Bells, Hybrid Bells, and Mechanical Bells actually are. Enjoy the video.
I don’t own the music but I do own all the pictures and clips.
Very impressed on how well you put together this video! Very well done 😀

1:22 Thats Harmon! Very rare
There's a lot more than 3.
Oh ok! My friend told me there only existed 3! Thanks!
@@bub8966 yep I was mistaken I feel stupid I should always check before I say :(
@@kyleb06 Where Harmon crossing bells made in the 80's or 90's?
@@kyleb06 Your kidding there's only 3 Harmon crossing bells in the world! Wow That's rarer than the Novax ds 30000 crossing bell!
Kinda surprised you only did one Safetran, given that they had two different generations of mechanical bell, lol. Nice video though!
And congrats on 2k!
They actually aren’t generations. They are just the 5 inch and 4 inch versions. The 5 inch ones are the flat bases and the 4 inch ones have the slanted type. They used both models from the 70s into the 2000s.
@@upking9080 From what I've seen, no. The 4 inch base ones appear to have proceeded the 5 inch base ones (at the very least), and I haven't seen any evidence that they were sold alongside each other at any point.
The 5 inch base ones even have a piece cast into their bases to make it easier to mount them on a 4 inch mast.
Interesting. I’ve seen a photo of a Safetran bell in the 1970s with a 5 inch base, so I’m not sure what to think.
@@upking9080 The 2nd Gens were already being made by the late-70s, IIRC, based on what I've observed. The 1st Gens don't seem to have been made much more than half a decade or so, give or take a few years.
Very informational
may I have permission to use audio from this video?
3:44 let the jokes begin.
My favorite e bell is GS Type 3 and Us&s e bell of course and M bells are WCH 2nd Gen,Federal Signal,Modern industries,And WRRS
2:59 why does it look/sound cute lol
I call the newer WCH M-Bells with the newer logo WCH 3rd Gen M-Bell
Huh. Thats Actually kind of genius.
Did the General Signals Prototype chip come out in the 90's, and was the General Signals Prototype chip the first bell ever made by General Signals?
Are Harmon bells still made any more?
Idk. Probably not, most Harmon equipment is outdated
3:43 Jesus Christ that is moving a little too much for my comfort
ikr

Us Australians have multiple types of westinghouse hybrids:

I do not live in Australia, but my a couple of my friends bought Westinghouse hybrids off eBay. That’s really the only reason I included them.
