why doesnt he want us to know
he literally can turn a sample into anything he wants, absolute master
He’s my favourite hip hop producer of all time
No he can’t. He’s great but there is just so much you can do with song samples. If he could do anything why didn’t he chose more obscure ones?
@@donkeypong1847 go find the Bring it on sample since he doesn't use obscure samples lol
@@donkeypong1847 why didn’t you choose more obscure samples sucka?
Julian!!!
Big ups to the original musicians!!!!!!!
Absolutely.. they are the original heros
These are ALL well-known samples amongst crate diggers and beat makers …
I was thinking the same thing, lol. None of these are secrets or unknown
Yeah I think if the headline had been different - “Appreciating Preemo’s best samples” - it would get a different reaction.
Right? Was waiting for something I didn't know about
Facts dun
Whoever can find the piano for NY State of Mind Pt 2 I will personally give $100
The king of the ‘stabs’, his drums still remain the most hard hitting.
Yes, I love those drums
I grew up on Premo, but i might have to say that Pharrell's drums hit harder. ex: "Grinding"
I think his stabs are more a by-product of the tools at hand (pads on the MPC) than an original creation. This is not knocking Preemo at all. I'm just simply stating that stabs in general are so synonymous with the MPC mostly because of how you use an MPC.
@@Real90sfeel Those are just Triton presets.
Premier is my absolute favourite producer. The way he flipped some of these samples is ridiculous. Even the most simplistic and minimalistic tracks never get monotonous
Definitely
He just makes his beats sound so offical... flips samples like such a master 🔥🔥🔥
Premier is one of the greatest producers in Hip Hop. Legendary
Didn't DJ premiere tell y'all not to do s*** like this
Violatin', straight up and down
@@TheMattmatic Yep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now someone from the estate of those masters owners are going to sue him
Precisely.
This new generation somethin else, man. I tell ya
@@dianevrules this is public knowledge he didn't do anything to make these unrecognizable
Sample Snittin....
A master class on sampling and producing. Thank you D.J. Premier.

@@TheNumbasign2 meat cycle?
That’s amazing how he chopped and transformed these samples with hip-hop drums into so many classics. 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah he’s so good
How he flipped the sample for Rass Kass' "Golden Child" will forever be one of my favorites of his.
PREEMO is the man PERIOD in my book of HIP HOP Producers.
He made me want to make beats as well.
That Crooklyn Dodgers 95 sample is a soul snatcha for real.
Crooklyn Dodgers is one of my fav tracks
yeah crooklyn dodgers is beautiful
That Ny State of Mind Loop gets me every time🔥🔥🔥🔥🤦♂️✅🔥👍🏿💯🤦♂️✅💯
Yeah it’s so nice
wow thats crazy how he flipped that sample to make You Know My Steez
sick sample flip on the Boom track with Royce as well
And that’s why nobody can copy his style. Only he can hear those original tracks and flip them that way
Right?? I couldn’t even think of what the track could be I was surprised
I can watch these all Day!
Thanks for watching. Always good to hear comments like that 👍
All day!
"Rap is an art you can't own no loops. It's how you hook it up and the rhyme style, troop." - Guru (Take It Personal)
The John Williams of HipHop. Nuff said.
Very well said!
Man its been a long time since I've heard these hip hop tracks. Went through a hip hop phase about 10 years ago, but probably over played all the classic songs its hard to hear them the same way again. But this video kinda gave me that feeling like I had when I first heard these songs.
Good to hear it brought back good feeling for you
there’s always dope stuff out there waiting to be heard
Prems been all over the place doing so much for the hip hop/rap universe.
One thing is established: DJ Premier is a freakin GENIUS & MASTER OF HIS CRAFT. Amen
As a beatmaker, one should know every single one of them! Classic shit.
Used to listen to most of these vacuuming Saturday morning timeless beat master!
All were done great, but The Format flip for some reason just hits different. GOAT producer.
Yeah the way he chopped that sample and totally changed the rhythm is so good
Nothing but classics! Thank you man for a great part of my life.
Thanks for watching
That part!💯
Classics will be classics and always be classics!! Salute to the ol school!!!
Almost every sample I immediately recognized.
Every f**king sample turned to a classic banger.
Damn!
Thanks DJ Furio for this history lesson in music and how it all comes full circle #BlessingsKing
Thanks for watching
Artistry unmatched!!! 😮
Amazing producer
Respect the DJ, the pentacle of Hip Hop!
5:52 really took me back, smokin a white owl car seat style. Dopeness
One of my favourite tracks that one. Crooklyn Dodgers
Premo‼️ Much respect 💯🙏🏾
Super list! Thank you ☺️
And still, one of the best yet!
"Bring It On" is the main sample DJ Premier definitely doesn't want us to know about.
I think everyone wants to know what that sample is but it’s still undiscovered.
@@DJFurio DJ Premier has been sued for uncleared samples in the past. That explains why he's kept "Bring It On" a secret for 25 years.
@@dannybx78 In the words of Premier himself, “You win some, you lose some.”
@@quietizkept That's true, i agree.
It sounds like a sample from a Bill Lee score from a Spike Lee film, if I had to guess.🤔🧐
Premo sick with the chop and samples, dude like a super surgeon with a beat
Crooklyn dodgers is so Hypnotic 🤦🏾♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for this!
Thanks for watching.
I only took notice when I saw a comment of Patrice Rushden Where There is Love to Mobb Deep Temperatures Rising. But before that in the 90s I knew P Diddy did the same thing. Heck even Dre done it. It still amazing how these produce flip it to make it their own, or their own spin.
Fun Fact:
The Clarence Wheeler who was Sampled by Preemo is NOT the Same Clarence Wheeler who worked for Lantz.
I know sampling is "difficult" but the OG are true geniuses.
Why can’t you do it then?
I think Capone 'n Noreaga 'Invincible' should have made the cut. The sample from 'Hey Boy Over There' is classy
It’s an amazing sample I agree. Check my playlists as I’ve listed it in other videos.
First you have to give respect to the originators that orchestrated the music and then Preemo for digging in those crates and putting his sauce on it.
AZ killed it on The Format.
Classic track
Thank you DJ Furio🙏
I always loved that DnD All Stars beat. That's dope to hear the original. Big up!
Thanks for watching
Hands of gold and ears of a god. Can’t touch this man
youre amazing thank ou for all of your hard work
Thanks for watching

Cool channel thank you!!
That video is very well put together
Glad you like it
Awesome research 👏
Les McCann sample on 10 crack commandments is just incredible sounding
Yeah it’s a great sample
Oh My God!! This is my young self completely
Love your work
King of boom bapp
We need more Pete Rock …or you lazy digging in the crates Dj Furio lol
I love the title of the video, as a sample head I actually knew 98% of all the samples in the video.
i literally refuse to care until somebody solves the mystery of Bring it On 😂😂😂
Undisputed king of the chop.
I knew Premier was dope since I heard Step in the Arena album in '90
One of the best ever did it.
Nas had some of the best ones out of the bunch. Jeru is still my favorite though! Group Home and Mobb Deep all got famous on DJ Premiere. Hands down the best DJ ever!
Salute the samples.
much love to sampling
So Preemo just makes one sequence then cut the hooks in👌Keeping it simple at its finest made him the BOOM Bap King
NAS 2ND CHILDHOOD DOPE PREMIER BEAT
How can you not like this man?
Awesomee this is amazing need moreee from Premoo
Check my playlists on my channel. I’ve done a lot of DJ Premier sample videos
Ahmad Jamal sample "Don't Ask My Neighbors" is the Griselda's "Headlines" joint.
Yeah it’s a great sample. I’ve listed it in one of my other videos
DJ Premier is from Houston. South stand up🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Has Premier ever made a beat that everyone didn't love every single thing he's ever made has been hot!
And they're only well-known samples of crate diggers because of Primo
Premier! Aptly named!1
Sampling is an art.
Lol word I love primo but he elusive about them flips, 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice. I'm probably one of Primo's biggest fans. I might use one of these beats on my next mixtape
Yeah some great beats on this video
Nice work! But one sample that he'll NEVER tell us the origin of is Jay-Z's "Bring It On"
Definitely
omfg thats the easiest sample.
She’s playing with ya. She’s as clueless as the rest of us
Because he and Jay-Z would both get sued if someone finds the original sample and shares it online.
The goat. Period.
Yeah
fuck thanks for this rollercoaster of emotions
I’ve made lots more Preemo videos. Here’s my playlist ruclips.net/p/PLKhcbxwjtW9E2WtoCHD8_TOFVtC7tR8ij
This is how it's supposed to be. This new generation with this sample snitchin' stuff is corny. Keep your samples to yourself. Sometimes thats the only edge you have to stay ahead of your competition.
New generation? I’m 44 years old and bought my first sampler when I was 15.
Not to come off as offensive but Preemo did voice his disdain about sample snitchin! IJS.
''you know how we do and we don't get down like that!''
Peace King.
@@larrymcmillan5611 I’m a massive fan of Preemo. If I put out a track and use samples I have to pay royalties. Shouldn’t this be the same for all producers? Or is it like speeding. It’s ok as long as you get away with it? Digging for samples has opened up a whole new catalogue of artists that otherwise would be unheard. Just my opinion.
@@DJFurio Oh, don't get me wrong my guy, I'm a sample head myself and an avid Preemo fan also. Your opinion is definetly valid 100%. ''talkin all that jazz'' from Stet comes to mind. ''tell the truth James brown was old/til Eric and Ra came out with I Got Soul/Rap brings back old R&B, and IF WE WOULD NOT, PEOPLE WOULDA FORGOT''! !
Not saying you Can't do this, just saying HE (Preemo)doesn't condone it. If anything, I'd want you to stay within his good graces!!....But I know how ''Tasty'' hard-to-find samples can be to the ear, so by all means,LOL!
Peace King.
DJ Premier has since completely did a 180 on the whole sample snitching thing from back in the day. Look up the Wax Only series here on RUclips from Power 106 in Los Angeles. There's a DJ there called vinrican who basically sample snitches like crazy in that series. Any way, on the Moment of Truth episode premier himself does the intro to the episode.
He don't feel that way anymore.
“And one other thing… What’s the deal with you break-record cats putting out all the original records that we sample from and snitching by puttin us on the back of it sayin we used stuff? You know how that go! Stop doing that, y’all are violatin', straight up and down!”
i sample too and let nobody know where i got the samples from
I always found this funny cause he did use stuff (and made a lot of money from it).
@@dassolosyndikat5113 shit was unregulated back in the day, they find out you used a sample without permission now they sue for royalties
Face crunched up especially for that pitch black at the end
2:05 🔥
Primo is the GOAT!
I love this, but hate it at the same time these samples should be found when digging in the crates
This is the type of stuff Permo was talking about on Moment of Truth. Hope you don't cost him any royalties
If he’s not cleared samples after 25 years then that’s his problem.
I need to Come to the USA to find some of this vinyl. Here in Germany is not posible.
That Joe Chambers original goes hard too.
He made them his “OWN”
Dope
He has a lot of uncleared samples in the wild. One of the goats.
Hell yeah
If you and Premier ever meet each other face to face one day, don't afraid of the man himself.
Stand your ground regardless.
That AZ Format was one of Premier's best, plus Fizzy Womack - Sit em' back slow. Top notch.
hip hop makes everything sound better
So many people going "Stooopp DJ Premier doesn't want people to know what samples he has used".
Dude DJ Premier did like the bare minimum of work to many these samples. It's not like he did some intricate cutting and editing or tried to hide the original vibe of the sample on most of these. Stop gatekeeping hip hop and sampling.
This is exactly why when I was younger I didn't like hip hop. People took samples of already existing songs, did very little to them, added some drums and someone rapping over it and got a ton of praise for it and the average person didn't know where the sample was from, or that it was a sample. And then there was the attitude of so many producers, artists and fans. "If you're not willing to spend hours, days, to go cratedigging for samples then you don't deserve to know".
F*ck that. F*ck all of you who defend that shit. All music should be for everyone. The world has changed since the 90s. Music has never been more available than now.
Preemo definitely in my top 5 , I don’t think he’s the best (RIP DILLA) but he’s definitely the BEST sample chopper/flipper
Didn’t premiere say something about snitching on these records…smh
I feel like I just took a master class in music. 😎👍
If he didn’t want you to know then you should know the rules.
“You violating, straight up and down”
Premiere made it feel different.

I've been trying to find it for ages. Peace!
