How's the pillion rider comfort ? back rest is mandatory or what considering the seat length?

I took a test ride just yesterday and it is very comfortable for the pillion rider. It is also very scary without the backrest as the pick up is pretty good from the second gear itself so u have to hold onto the side handles almost all the time to prevent falling off. Once they start providing the backrest it should be an easy comfortable experience for the pillion rider as well
