Sergio Franchi was a real diamond on the music scene! Every time I listen to his performance in Ed Sullivan Show with Peggy Lee and Nancy I have tears in my eyes!
Sergio Franchi, born in Italy and grew up in South Africa, sang opera early in his career. RCA Victor needed a replacement for the great Mario Lanza. Sergio made many popular LP 's and appeared on Ed Sullivan many, many times. His widow made many concerts for singers on his estate. Unjustly forgotten after his untimely death at age 60. Bravo Sergio!!!
