THIS IS BEST REPRESENTED AS ".......I died and went Heaven...Music"." As to nest to all these trend jazz artists in heaven. I bet heaven puts on the best jazz shows. "GOD IS A DAVE BRUBECK FAN........."The fack the God is a Drave fan

“Take Five,” a 1959 track by the Dave Brubeck Quartet, was always a musical oddity: a swinging, instantly catchy jazz piece written in the uncommon time signature of 5/4. It was written by his legendary saxophonist, Paul Desmond. It was one of the first Jazz songs with a time signature other than the standard 4/4 beat or 3/4 waltz time. 2:43 [NPR; Rolling Stone; Songfacts]

    The drum solo is heavenly

    • @Gurci28
      @Gurci28 Год назад +6

It is the best-selling jazz single of all time. But previously unheard rehearsal tapes reveal that Dave Brubeck’s Take Five might never have been such a hit if he had stuck with an original version.
The quartet playing it was made up of Brubeck on the piano, Desmond on alto saxophone, Morello on drums and Wright on double bass. Dalya Alberge 2:13 [The Guardian]

    Won't you stop and take
A little time out with me
    Just take five
    Stop your busy day
    And take the time out
    To see if I'm alive
Though I'm going out of my way
Just so I can pass by each day
Not a single word do we say
    It's a pantomime and not a play
Still, I know our eyes often meet
I feel tingles down to my feet
When you smile, that's much too discreet
    Sends me on my way
    Wouldn't it be better
    Not to be so polite
    You could offer a light
    Start a little conversation now
    It's alright, just take five
    Just take five
Though I'm going out of my way
Just so I can pass by each day
Not a single word do we say
    It's a pantomime and not a play
Still, I know our eyes often meet
