might try a set of 1/4 inch drive 12 point universal sockets it makes life MUCH easier I use them on my big motor in my ghia and on those french helicopters too! bitchin setup dude!
I am about to do the same supercharger and carb setup on a Volvo b230 and put it all in a S10. I have to pull the engine from a boat in the morning, then the project is on haha
A word of warning on Joe Blow: their customer service is poor - I ordered the ignition at the same time and it didn’t arrive. It was sent later, missing parts and I wasn’t told about machining work is need to do to the supercharger kit to make it fit. The website doesn’t mention it, they don’t tell you and then when you complain, you’re told to bugger off.
@@Daddyfixit I planned to buy mine from bahn Brenner Motorsports,it's alil bit cheaper and all I need is the supercharger itself. I planned to make both intakes and everything. I did check out the Joe blow site,it seems like a joke of a site.
@@1956ultra I never did end up doing this,I took alil longer than I should to go pull the engine and someone stole the entire boat and trailer. Still working on supercharging a s10 though, but using the stock 2.2 in the truck. actually caught between using a amr500 or just putting a t04e turbo on it. Probably do the amr500 since I am already turboing the exact same engine, but in a cavalier.
@@DaddyfixitSo sorry ,No sarcasm , as I saved video for later ,was looking for serious answer, wish Good luck for u in restoring this engine they are tough vehicles!
@@Mukh90 Don't buy a Joe Blow conversion - waste of money. Badly designed, badly made and zero customer service. Better to build a big bore engine although, it looked great and sounds amazing right up to the point the engine massively overheated and went on fire
Very nice setup and well explained. Not many videos showing how a setup like this works, thank you.
Do have a video assembling this supercharger kit?
No, and don’t bother, it’s crap and blew the engine up
Sure would of been cool to hear what he was saying.

What kind of carburetor is this?
Intake temperature must be so hot (my amr500 warms air 70-80C)
Unfortunately I never got the chance to find out. On its first proper test run an electrical fault set it on fire and it was a total loss.
is super charger a nessessary mod?
Are any modifications 'necessary'. I wanted to do it, I did it, it didn't work out well ... shit happens.
