i remember the spectacular COD mechanical mannequins during Christmas season! But gone are those days! Sad!
Sana meron display sa year end.
sir, pakiconfirm po yung mannequin display sa COD tuwing christmas ay nasa greenhills na just 2 years after closing in 2004
me pelikula c da King FPJ with the Superstar Nora Aunor na nasa COD .FPJ as Santa Claus and Ms.Nora as a mannequin display
I had lot of happy and painful memories in
Cubao we used to hangout in farmer’s when I was on my teen
Age years I remember
It was only quezon arcade araneta stadium
Cod new frontier to name a few. Sad because I was also a
Victim of snatchers
Near Ali mall that almost taken my life
I got stab praised God
I was sent to emergency by a people
Who help me I really thank them whoever they are and to the snatcher who did it
I already forgiven him
God has a plan for me
Plans to prosper me
And not to harm me
Plans to give us hope
In the future , Really God is good.and Jesus
Has wonderful plan to each of us .
Living in Cubao, I can recall during my younger years there were 3 major fires that happened in Araneta Center. First, during the 80's was the Queen's Supermarket behind New Frontier Cinema (now occupied by Manhattan Parkview towers). Then the Farmer's market in 1988 (now Farmers Plaza). And last I remember in the 90's was Uniwide Sales (now Puregold). But my memories of Cubao were mostly fun, dahil iyan lang ang lagi naming puntahan ng family noon para mamasyal or mag-shopping, especially during Christmas season sa COD and Fiesta Carnival, until they cease to exist. 😀
Cool, thanks sa info boss
Queens supermart was formerly New Frontier Supermarket (biggest in the far east daw) at its side Matzusakaya Deptr the New Froniter Ice skating (slot car racing center) and Roller Skating ring (Japanese goods) openend before December 1965. FArmers Marker 3 floors while the rest (was not air cond like when it became a PLaza with 4 cinemas) Farmers market was destroyed by by fire June 13 1985 an took several years to become the fully air cond Farmers Plaza

My earliest fond memory of being in Cubao was in 1979, school field trip yun at isa ang Fiesta Carnival na lubos kong kinaaliwan. I vividly remember seeing the then teen-age Maricel Soriano as a celebrity guest sa aming school event.
Thank you, salamat ng marami for posting unforgettable precious memories of Cubao.🩷
I am from Manila since birth pero 1985 i work in AFPSLAI Santolan Edsa Q.C. so i always passby Cubao ayoko sya nung luma netong bagong Cubao kona sya na na appreciate nung may GateWay na i am 63 yrs old now panget syang lugar dati...
Jn ak ng graduate ng elem. At dati my pwesto kmi s farmers market jn pasyalan ko s farmes plasa and now im 58 yrs old di ko yan malilimutan hanggat buhay ak
Nostalgia ang Cubao back in late 70s and early 80s.Dyan ako nanonood ng sine pag may movie si Nora Aunor.Sarap dyan gumala at magshopping .
Imagine from work punta kami dyan offmate ko gala lang. Since nagpandemic till now di na ako nakarating. Buti na lang napanood kita. Kuya Fern.
I grew up in the states sadly I can’t remember much I only started visiting yearly from 2016 when both my parents died and I’m definitely enjoying it since thanks for sharing god bless sir fern good day from California

As a college student and a young professional, I lived in Cubao from 1970 to 1980 with my Grandma, my Uncle and his sister, my Aunt. Those were such memorable times. The Araneta Coliseum, Ali Mall, Farmers Market, New Frontier Supermarket (where my Aunt and I used to do our grocery shopping every Saturday), Fiesta Carnival, Marikina Shoe Fair, COD, Ma Mon Luk(for their noodles and Siopao), Rempson Shoe Store (where we bought our shoes), Coronet Movie Theater, the Jeepney Terminal at the Gasoline Station at Yale St. corner Aurora Boulevard, Tropical Hut (for Hamburgers) along Tuason St., Shoemart, Goldilocks Bake Shop (where we used to go for Sans Rival and Brazo Mercedes). I truly miss those times.

I was born in 1968 and my father (deceased) was born in 1933. My father used to tell that Cubao comes from the word "lubluban ng kalabaw " 'pagkat sakahan pa ito noong araw.
Wow memories came back when I saw your video.. the COD, Farmers, Carnival.. And yes I've visited the new Cubao now and vast changes happened, but glad it became modernized but at the same time congested. Seeing the old Cubao seemed just like yesterday.
Thank you sir for another nostalgic ride. I remember the good old days where i used to ride a go kart at 2f of Fiesta Carnival. More power and God bless 🙂

Memories from my elementary years with my siblings include the kiddie rides and waffle hotdogs in Fiesta Carnival, the Christmas show in COD, the Holiday On Ice shows every Christmas in Araneta Coliseum, Rustan's Department Store and Supermarket and Yum Yum Tree outside the supermarket where we would eat after shopping or buying groceries, the New Frontier theater where my mom took us to watch movies, Ali Mall, etc, etc. Lots of memories, so when we returned to the Philippines, Gateway Center (that's what it's called now, right?) was among the places that I took my child to because I was sort of excited to see the new and modern Cubao and Araneta Center, and also tell my child stories about how I enjoyed going there when I was a kid.
ang galing niyo po magdocu-vlog, sir. pang-historian ang datingan. keep it up and tc!

Reminisces my younger days. Farmers plaza, c o d, alimall & fiesta carnival. Sarap noon
Thank you to feature the old places I have been when I was young lalo na COD sa christmas display nila at araneta na first time ako nka punta sa show ni Neil Sedaka kasama mama ko. Nasa pinakamataas kmi, sa mura hehehe. Just loved to see the old memorable places. Please feature more. Im 75 now and loved to see the old places. Many thanks to your channel brother!
☺️🙏🙏🙏
Maraming salamat, sir Fern. Cubao is very dear to my heart. From where I was born and have lived for most of my life, Cubao is just a jeepney ride away. I was born in the 1960s and Cubao has become part of my childhood days. I have seen its transformation and enjoyed so many beautiful memories throughout the years. Up until before the pandemic I still get to roam around Cubao. I miss the old Cubao na kinalakihan ko but I love how it has been transformed. Again, maraming salamat for the reminiscences of the old Cubao. 😊
😁you’re welcome po😊🙏
Noon mas open to the skies dahil di pa marami ang tall buildings.
Thankful to this episode, brings back memories of my childhood to my teens years. Cubao is really a big part of my life. Mention ko na lang 2 of my favorite places to eat both in Aurora Blvd. MA MUN LUK Cubao and MAGNOLIA ICE CREAM PARLOR right beside Coronet Theater later on became the 1st JOLLIBEE Store. Happy times....fun memories
Thnks for your effort
Salamat sa mga videos mo Ka You Tubero, very informative.
Ang naging pinakahighlights event sa Cubao AranetaCenter big event thrillia in manila,,,at mga international music artist,,,Araneta cubao tinaguriang the heart of Q.C...ang cubao pla legend yan before spanish era name ng isang babaeng kuba n laging naglalakad s mga kalsada...
