I lost a wheel from my bag, on cobblestones, in the Czech Republic. I had to buy a new bag in Prague, which I hadn’t planned for in my budget. Now I travel light.
Liked your video, you are on the spot with the capsule wardrobe is the only way to travel, I have traveled to many countries and it works and the laundry situation is the same, you take your plastic travel hangers which take minimum space, do your laundry on those days that you know you are going to stay over for more than one night and you will always have clean laundry. I washed my underwear daily in the evening when I took my shower and in the morning it was dried, so 5 pairs is more than enough and two pairs of socks the same. However, not everyone can use a backpack, those that are elder or have problems with their back would not be able to handle the weight of a backpack, so a personal bag which is soft and pliable with a sleeve that would allow you to slide it through the handle of your carryon, is going to be the best option. Toiletries, medication, jewelry and electronics need to be carried on your personal item bag and if you do this, no one would have a problem with missing items. Good travels!❤❤❤
oh god, I live in Denmark, the last time I traveled for 4 weeks island hopping in Greece, I brought less. A backpack of 3.4 kg. this was more than enough.
Excellent video! I like the visual of the clothes on the rack and you speaking about every item and the reason for your choices. VIDEO REQUEST: Can you please do one with what you pack inside of your travel handbag? And also a video on Toiletries only? I have a backpack of toiletries, and i even used travel sizes and decanted shampoo and conditioner. Thank you!!!
Great choices to mix and match! The laundry sheets are game changers for travel. I just found a travel clothesline for our next trip as we are going for 3 weeks with carry on only.
Hi Donnita. Welcome to my little corner of the world. I'm so glad you're here. The travel clothesline is a great idea. We used the hotel hangers and towel bars to dry our clothes.
Thank you. So well-thought out and delivered. Excellent info and video. Just subscribed. Love your business name... so original, memorable and meaningful : ))
Just found your channel, and I appreciate your travel capsule wardrobe vlog. I do hope you will come back and give links for everything. I really could see myself copying your entire wardrobe for my upcoming trip. New subscriber.
Hi and welcome to my little corner of the world. Thank you for letting me know you would like the links. As you can probably guess, I'm new to RUclips, so your feedback is greatly appreciated. I've added the links! Have a great trip!
Would you mind doublechecking the link to the crossbody purse? This one is not working. Do you have the links to the other items like the trench coat? It possibly has been discontinued but could you link something similar to it? I really love it!! Also, I am going to Italy next April and would love a video of your travels there and what to wear in the spring. This wardrobe looks like it might work for the spring. I loved your video and just subscribed. It would be nice to see the outfits on you. ❤
Hi Debi! Welcome to my little corner of the world. I'm glad you're here and let me know the link isn't working. I corrected the link in the video description and added the trench coat link as well. Be looking for a sequel with the outfits coming soon. My husband and I went to Italy last April (2024); it was the perfect time to go! Check out the Villa Bordoni Hotel Review. Spoiler Alert: It is fabulous! If you need any help with your trip, just let me know. I own Canopy of Stars Travel and specialize in trips to Europe.
I travel to Asia with a backpack and a carry on. For five to six weeks. Last time, the temperature range was 85 degrees F, down to 30 degrees. I did end up buying a pair of lined jeans but otherwise, I was fine.
I picked up some really thin, low cut socks from Walmart. I used to pack for a 1 week Summer vacation a 50 liter suitcase. And not using half of my clothes. Now I bring a 28 liter backpack and a small crossbody bag that fits a kindle, passport and a waterbottle. And I pack 4 outfits that I can mitch and match, flip flops and sandels. I don't mind washing a couple of outfits during my vacation. My backpack only weighs 4kg and no check ins.
Hi Shannah. Be intentional. When I traveled, I really didn't have any issues. However, if you're concerned, you could look for ultra light-weight luggage.
Hi and welcome to my little corner of the world. I'm glad you're here! The luggage is by Monos. I love them! I've added links to my product recomendations in the video description.
Excellent..thanks! Can I ask you about shoes? I assume you brought 'nice' shoes for going out as neither of the shoes you showed would have suited your dress.... even if you did get a chance to wear it😂?
Hey Jane. Truly, I only had the two pairs of shoes I showed in the video, loafers and tennis shoes! However, Vionic makes some other options that are a little more dressy.
@CanopyOfStarsTravel Many thanks for reply! Shoes, when travelling are the bane of my life! For example, I'm heading away soon for a long weekend which will involve city walking, eating out and a show in a theatre! I would LOVE if I had one pair of shoes that would cover all... but I usually end up having to bring a second pair!
Hi Kim! Welcome to the channel. You're right! Carry-ons have weight restrictions that vary by airline. Be sure to check with your carrier before traveling.

I would love to see a video about the electronics and other things you carried. That and my toiletries take up so much space
