Tent - Hilleberg Niak
Headed up to a cross I stumbled upon on one of my previous camps. Apparently it was the coldest night of the winter, but I built up two little snow walls around the bottom of the Niaks fly sheet and that really helped keeping the breeze out and any spin drift. It was the warmest I've been on any minus degree winter camp so far. Pack weight was around 16kg, including all my food, 2 litres of water, beer/whiskey
WOW, that sunset alone made it all worth while. Thanks Brendan, love your videos.
@@talesfromthebike yeah, just made it back in time for it, it's tough going in the snow. Cheers guys
Hi Brendan. Lovely sky's, the sunset looked spectacular and must have been nice to witness. A very enjoyable watch. All the best 👍
Cheers Andrew🌄👌👍
Nice video! Is that above Manorhamilton?
@@pipandbenjicheers, no, it's up near ben bulben
How is the Niak in the wind? Thinking of getting the Niak or Allak. The weight of the Allak is the only thing holding me back from it
@@dpogle it's good in the wind. I've been caught out in strong winds a fair few times with the tent and it's always handled them well. If Its for solo camping and your not looking to intentionally camp in a strong gales, then id deff go with the Niak.
Still happy with the tent?
It's a class tent apart from it's leaky zippers
@btryan1000 Silicon grease
@@williamcooper8559 yeah, gotta get around to putting something on it
