There was an episode where a male cat had such difficulty urinating (had constant clogs in the urinary tract) that they had a surgery where they removed the cats entire penis......and basically gave the kitty a sex change operation to save it's life!
I have a three legged Norwegian Forest cat named BB. He was found dragging a dead leg around in downtown Nashville TN. He was five weeks old and screaming for help. Dr Steve Ladd is his vet at Hillsboro Animal Hospital. Dr Matt you remind me of him. I love that you help animals.
Matt thank you so very much for helping these animals. You and the other vets have big hearts to do so. The name Stitch suits him quite well. he looks like a big loving boy.
I know this is an old video, but my parents let me get a kitten when I was in first grade. Sadie was awesome. I was married when she passed away. She was a couple of months shy of her 20th birthday. 🙏 She was a sweet girl.
The cat I had for the longest was 21 yrs, 1 month & 2 days when she passed away. She was born in my bedroom next to my childhood bed ON MY 11th birthday!! She died in my arms of old age at 2:00am cuddled up with me in bed purring contently. RIP Pumpkin 1992-2013
Such a beautiful and sweet cat!! He is just adorable!! I cant understand how such a sweet boy, who would make a great pet, was going to be euthanised just because of his foot!!
Raven Krueger Yeah but they all share similar genetics which cause them to have very similar personalities. It's very common for tux cats to be vocal, dog-like, affectionate, etc (as you can see in this video). I had one and he was as good as cats get. They are very great cats
Tuxedos are the best cats! Stanley adopted me, figured out my health issues and saved my life six times in a month short of thirteen years. Tuxies tend to run highly intelligent and full of individual personality. Wonderful cats! 💞👍💞😄😺💞🌟💞
I was asked to take an emergency rescue some years ago for one night only. The cat had a similar injury but to her front leg. My vet said I had two choices (it was love at first sight and I became a failed-foster - she wasn't going anywhere else), either amputate her leg or keep her as an indoor cat as she would hold the leg up when she walked or ran but would use it for washing her face and digging her litterbox. Lucy was approx 8 years old when I got her. A one night foster turned into 15 years and she passed away at the grand old age of 23. It's 6 years since she passed and I still miss her even though I've got 11 cats. You do fantastic work.
@@TrueBeelzebub You need some space and money to keep 11 cats healthy and happy. But if you've got the space and you've got the money, well... Why wouldn't you? (Personally, I'd also have a couple dogs. Maybe 9 cats, 2 dogs. :D)
@@ILuvAyeAye love how you respond to a reply I made... three years ago 😂 For the record, I’ve changed my ways! If you feel the need to have eleven cats then GODDAMMIT you love those eleven cats 🐈

My cat too. She's a little on the heavy side (it's a reaction to a medicine she's on for asthma) so when she lays on my lap, her big ol' belly hits my keyboard. But I love her and her sisters and brother.

The way he lifts his little butt in the air for pets is so cute omg. He's a big boy! Looks about like my best friend's cat Oliver. Oliver had to lose an eye when he got hit by a car, but it's amazing how lucky he got. He's just the same as he was before but with one less eye. He's a big sweetheart, and Stitch seems like he is too!

Stitch is a gorgeous cat. Thank You so much for saving his leg. It does make a difference when they grow older, have arthritis, trouble balacing when pooping. I had a dog who has only one back leg. As he grew old the arthritis got in it bad. When he would go poop he would sometimes not be able to maintain the position and he would end up sitting in his poop or pee. He would look so shamed by this. In the house he got where he could no longer walk without falling he would drag himself and the friction on the carpet made him pee. He would look at it and bow his head. We had him put to sleep soon after because he would cry at night because of the pain and I would lie down beside him and cuddle him. The pain meds no longer worked. It was time but God it hurts to take that decision.
