He was one of the owners of GMO. They are three people that own GMO. Late Chief GE Chikeluba is the chairman/managing director of GMO until his assassination in 1989. After his death the company started falling apart till today. They are still rich, but they could have gone farer if the chairman of the company was not suddenly demised like that at the young age of 56yrs. in 1989.
Such trust and collaboration to start major business is what our current generation is lacking today.
It's hard to organize a startup business but with collective funding and cooperation, our people can go far in industrialization and SME businesses

OKA started before the civil war and going back in time, anyone that entered the group in name of OKA was called OKA this and that depending on your business or profession. They started as group of friends without secret activities, because my dad had to make seriouse investigations taking their entry form. OKA or PEOPLE'S CLUB of Nigeria was for everyone not only Igbos, because Urhobos, Calabar, the Igala and some present Edo amongst members then.
They did a lot of things in Igbo land. Mike Arinze part of the stories was not too far from the real story. He mentioned OKA before the war and reunited after the war and how Lagos union, Onitsha involvement and president Umezuoke based in Aba will create another version. As the son of then member. In a period of 90s when they had series of death almost 3 to 4 members given up created a big hole in their financial obligations.
His account is way difference from the original history of people's club which was well documented during the 10th anniversary induction ceremony at Onitsha in 1982. The brochure of the event can be found in some of the member's house today. For him to say that OKA social Club started at Lagos after the civil war baffled me. They were the pillars of ndi Igbo, they made Igbo nation to stand up again to their feet 🦶 no other social club come close.

If you have time, you can tell me one important thing peoples club did in your Ibo land as you claimed in the past, presently and tomorrow beside attending funeral ceremony of their members.
