What are those barrels made of if they're overheating that quickly from such a slow firing rate? The whole point of a multi barrelled gun is that it doesnt overheat. The chaingun in doom 1 was basically a submachine gun.

A chaingun doesn't even have multiple spinning barrels. It's pretty much a turret with one really, really long barrel. A minigun is what Doom calls a "chaingun". Meanwhile, a gatling gun is basically the same thing, but hand-cranked. The names are not interchangeable. People get these three mixed up all the time.

Calling all electrically powered gatling style rotary guns miniguns is like calling all bolt action rifles k98k mausers. The "Chaingun" in Doom uses the same ammo as the Beretta 92 that Doom Guy has, since he's USSMC and has a beretta, presumably the guns are in 9mm. the microgun is a gatling style electrically powered rotary gun in 5.56mm Nato, the Minigun is in 7.62nato and then you have things like the Vulcan Canon and the GAU Avenger. So if we're gonna be pedantic and insist that it's not a chaingun, it's not a minigun either.
I imagine the skins are one of the reasons they opted to have more cinematics in third person perspective, just so you have the opportunity to see the skins you use more.
It's a bit like the ECHO skins in Borderlands 3. Your ECHO device in past games was something you literally never saw, so when they added skins for it in BL3 they also made it so that your character frequently holds it out in front of them to do various things so you can see it (such as the entire time you're in the menu).
Something amazing about this game that I don't usually see in games is that while watching your gameplay without commentary, I feel like I can see your whole thought process at every single moment of the game. Not a single moment looked like you were mindlessly using whatever weapon ended up in your hands. Very few movements looked out of place, and the ones that did seemed to be flowed up immediately with panic. This is probably the first singleplayer FPS I have ever seen played with intentionality.
@Andrew Finefrock I'm sorry, it's nothing like Dark Souls. He is playing DOOM like Serious Sam, prioritizing enemies and switching weapons accordingly. You don't switch weapons for every enemy type in Dark Souls.
Last year's Amid Evil (which is basically a bad-ass mix of Painkiller, Quake, and Heretic) had Dopefish too, in a secret level entirely dedicated as a shrine to it.

It kinda reminds me of DOOM 1 vs DOOM 2, because in DOOM 2 you have like 2-3 times the amount of enemies to kill when you compare it to Doom 1 and even "Gmanlives" said that now they throw loads of enemies at you so that you cant relax, but you need to move 24/7

Yo I orderd literally the only Collectors Edition the store had in my Town cause on the bethesda side and on Amazon they were Sold out. At First i was a little sceptical if it would be worth it, but then came the whole Videos from the gameplay event and i knew that it was worth it. The Helmet looks so detailed and high Quality i cant wait for Halloween with that thing

I played Doom 2 when it debuted in September of '94 when I was 8 years old... & let me just say that the OG Doom/Doom 2 looked, to me, exactly how Doom: Eternal looks to u, w/today's graphics & gameplay elements!! It blew me away, & I can't help but feel the same way while watching Doom: Eternals gameplay now. I truly believe this game is going to change FPS games & how they're made & played. It really is raising the bar for the 1st time since the 90's
And just like those RGB keyboards, it's cheesy shit for kids. Doom guys new cringey room with a bunch of toys is a good example of that. That unfunny zoomer childish shit has no place in Doom. This isn't Fortnite.

If it's as optimised as 2016, you won't really need to spend much money for this one either. After not playing first person shooters since Bioshock infinite, I upgraded my 9 years old rig like two months ago "to catch up on my game back catalogue" and I only bought the GTX 1650S graphics card for like $200. I'm still running the ol' quad core i5 2500K@4.3GHz with no hyperthreading and it still runs Doom 2016 @60 frames per second on 4k TV with all settings on ultra! If Doom Eternal runs 60fps on my 1080p monitor, I'll be a happy camper.
Keep it simple and linear, and you can create a flawless experience. Too much clutter damages gameplay, spawns endless bugs, takes more time to make, and lowers the quality of everything in the game. Glad this game took the first option.
It actually makes me sad that Bethesda is behind this, because I just know they'll find some way to fuck all their hard work up. Maybe not now, maybe not in 6 months, but I know they will.
@@Karma_8413 Yes and no. Multiplayer was restricted, Snapmap was heavily a console editor, and even fun single player command console cheats were later disabled because Bethesda didn't like it.

I haven't been this excited since the release of Doom 2016 and Wolfenstein The New Order. While these kind of shooters come along once in a while, it's totally worth it.

I sort of don't count the original Mastermind because it's never really specified if it's male or female. Another is of course the Olivia Peirce Spider Mastermind. And if you want to count Doom 3's lore into it then the Vargary.

It kinda reminds me of DOOM 1 vs DOOM 2, because in DOOM 2 you have like 2-3 times the amount of enemies to kill when you compare it to Doom 1 and even "Gmanlives" said that now they throw loads of enemies at you so that you cant relax, but you need to move 24/7

I played Doom 2 when it debuted in September of '94 when I was 8 years old... & let me just say that the OG Doom/Doom 2 looked, to me, exactly how Doom: Eternal looks to u, w/today's graphics & gameplay elements!! It blew me away, & I can't help but feel the same way while watching Doom: Eternals gameplay now. I truly believe this game is going to change FPS games & how they're made & played. It really is raising the bar for the 1st time since the 90's
The jump from DOOM 2016 to DOOM Eternal, is like jumping from a “cool” all black keyboard of the 2000s, to the “cool” neon rainbow keyboards of today.
But in my opinion the weapons design was better in Doom 2016, is a little nitpick tho, because I'm legit hype for this

After not playing first person shooters since Bioshock infinite, I upgraded my 9 years old rig like two months ago "to catch up on my game back catalogue" and I only bought the GTX 1650S graphics card for like $200. I'm still running the ol' quad core i5 2500K@4.3GHz with no hyperthreading and it still runs Doom 2016 @60 frames per second on 4k TV with all settings on ultra! If Doom Eternal runs 60fps on my 1080p monitor, I'll be a happy camper.

You can really just tell how much care and effort went into detailing every aspect of this game
Keep it simple and linear, and you can create a flawless experience.
Too much clutter damages gameplay, spawns endless bugs, takes more time to make, and lowers the quality of everything in the game.
Glad this game took the first option.
It actually makes me sad that Bethesda is behind this, because I just know they'll find some way to fuck all their hard work up. Maybe not now, maybe not in 6 months, but I know they will.

@@joehutchcraft1675 no, doomhunter is regular - he have no boss encounter mark on the corruption meter. Moreo marauder have glory kill the same as hellified soliders, so he is powerful but simple enemy - kinda dissapointing btw.
