Hi Beard, white bone is solely based on the character/villain from the ancient novel "Journey to the West" and has zero connection to Japanese folklore. She is essentially a skeleton wearing human skin, that is why she survive on anything bloody and meaty. Raw meat, telltale heart and mosquito sac heal her. Eating the Witch Heart transforms her into her ghost form which does not mean she is dead (it leaves a skeleton behind for rebirth while other cause of death will not leave a skeleton). You can still explore the map in this form which is super handy for a lunar rush!

@@Sarah12471 yes but no, the journey to the west is just a part of the sun wukong story, there are a lot more other parts to the monkey king. Although not all of these mods are based on jounrey to the west, they are all based on the story of the monkey king.

When you play white bone and die you dont spawn an skeleton and cant revive but when you die by a witch heart you do spawn one and can revive full status its an op item
So it’s like a reset
basically fast travel
somwhen close or closeish to death eat a witch heart and reset stats

- It makes you immune to darkness, which is crazy powerful.
- It temporarily reduces your sanity and holds it there, allowing you to 'see' nightmares but not aggro them. (Note that this sanity reduction is not permanent, and when you come out of it, you are returned to normal sanity).
does that mean you can just avoid the harsh stuff at night just being turning on his 3rd eye? and you can turn it on permanently if u want?
As someone who read the book the journey to the west I feel such joy seeing this as a mod
Ne Zha once killed himself in the his story, and the god used lotus root to make a body to resurrect him. So wet has a positive effect on Nezha
He repent his unfilial and wrong doing by "return(suicide)" his body to his parents, it's a sad story...

From what I remember about journey to the west, the monkey king that probably inspired this guy pissed off every immortal being incredibly quickly, fought almost all of them, and is about 6 times immortal
How do you put this into a fair character

tips for White bone:
for anyone who's wondering why sometimes even if u eat food u get no stats then I go the solution. I read on the mods steam workshop page that skeletons use your food stats too they wanted ti make this idea that u feed them too so if u have any on, your food stats will become smaller of course the more u have the lower it gets and if u have the max ammount of skelets recruited (5 is the max number u can carry with u around) then nearly anything u eat gives 0 hunger and other stats. easy way to stop this hold ctrl + alt and click on each Skelton that's alive to instantly kill them. kill all of them and u can enjoy your food stats to their maximum as you'll always get them 100% stats as long as u got no skeleton alive. what I usually do is kill them before I go eat some meat then after that I just recruit them with nightmare fuel as when u kill them they just become their unactive form and not turn into bone shards. and I just repeat. also quick tip white bone loves raw meat so much so that all the food who does negative stats on her all turn to positive stats example monster meat usually monster meat deals - 20 hp and - 15 sanity on players plus some hunger. but on white bone it does +20 hp and +15 sanity along side with like 20 hunger i belive. and that's just for monster meat. normal meat doesn't do - 10 sanity anymore I belive it now also gives +10 sanity for whitebone. and also regadles of the meat as long as its raw she gets hp from it too. this makes her insnaly hard to kill as she can farm meat and eat it fast getting tons of sanity hp and hunger very fast and no negative stats. this is of course without your skeletons alive so kill your skeletons and go have some jucy monster meat. u diserve it. (p.s. dobt try to eat anything cooked that gives negative stats hoping to get positive ones instead that only works with Raw meats so no monster lasagne for whitebone that privilage only remains to webber.

@@cuinnfuller2372 ye buddy i belive if u go in the mod tab and go in the the settings of the the mod u can change the language there. I changed mine from Chinese to English but i don't remember exactly how as i only played for 3 days this mod then i left it there untouched 😂

My dad used to teach me a lot about Chinese mythology when I was younger, just wish I had listened more lol
10:40 beard I belive if u eat it u die then u can use your Skelton to revive yourself with full starts so if u low on hp sanity or food make a witch heart eat it then revive yourself only to get full stats

I like this one, I've playing it for a couple of months, white bone is amazing, you need to get use to her but she's very efficient
Nezha after his death he is revive using Lotus so Nezha is basically water plant
Son Wukong (monkeying) is a rock that turn in to a monkey he don't like water
Pig(Zhu Baji) is 2nd (is 3rd really after the horse who is a dragon prince) students of Xuanzang Sanzang (wukong was the 1st) he is stronger then Wukong in strength, he SOO strong he can beat the shit out of the guy that chase Wukong ass all around the sky
"3 Eyes"(this is his nickname) is the war god that chase Wukong ass all around the sky (but wukong too fast)
white bone is an enemy that Son Wukong the monkey king fight 3 times in his journey to the west :D he kill in the end like most of the yokai he fight

For White Bone you could consume the heart when you're at low HP, then revive on the skeleton to heal up to full. seems pretty OP
you forgot about a thing beards I just had a play with white bone u can repair her weapons sword whip and staff with bones and tbh 1 bone does 100% repair so wait until u have 1 use on them left then repair them with 1 bone. it's much cheaper than making one from scratch. also thx for showcasing the mod. I actually like white bone's style of game play.
As do I, but you know how she hates veggies. I started and I ate one about like 2 or sum hunger am I the only one who got, I ate another and it gave nothing? Not 2 hunger or anything
@@Devils.InDisguise yes I know why I belive u had a skeleton slave thing on right? the more skelets u have befriended they decerese your hunger intake so if u have all max (5 is max) u will get not hunger from meat. so hold ctrl alt then click on the them and you'll one shot them. eat your food vegies meat etc then u can recruit them back this way they don't take any food stats from u also if u kill them yourself just add nightmare fuel to them as they remain deactivated skeletons (like before u made them alive again). I hope this helped also if u haven't noticed yet she lovea raw meat so much u can eat any and all the bad stats u once got now are good. I eat raw monster meat and it gives her +20 hp and 15 sanity with hunger too so eat your meat always raw for healing. and remember before u eat make sure u don't have any skeletons alive as they will take your hunger gain from food and once again you'll get 0 hunger gain. so kill skelets eat your food then u can re recruit them.

Does anyone know any tips for white bone during the other seasons? Normally it'll be easy to alternate between maiden and monster form but let's say during winter, I usually wear a hat or vest to keep warm but it instantly drops during a fight. Spring as well, I normally use an eyebrella so I can fight during the rain but white bone can't wear anything when fighting. Do I just rely on my bone soldiers to do the fighting?

Theres a bug that freezes your character if another myth character is dead. Any idea how to fix this Beard ?

Nezha is a dude tho and btw his body was made by a lotus plant since he almost died from a monster attack and was rescued, but his flesh body was severely damaged so he was changed to a lotus plant as his body by another god.
I saw a mod that is very interesting,the mod is call "Starvestuck" the mod adds many characters with unique itens and perks and a new way to craft,I think is very good mod to review

When monkey king isn't named Wukong, such shame especially that it even fits with name starting at W as all characters in DST (except Maxwell for reasons)
MaxWell is the stage name of william Carter So yes, technically they all start with W :)

I don't think we should be so hard on someone who didn't grow up knowing the stories 😅 you can just nicely explain to him the background in Journey to the West. Beard, White Bone is a supernatural monster from Chinese folklore, she had a big role in the Journey to the West story alongside the Spider Lady, who try to detract the group from their mission.

White bone isn't based on the Japanese yurei. They're from Journey to the West, the same Chinese novel that Pigsy and the Monkey King are from.

Configuration menu. Then again, it still doesn't have an option to fully translate things quite yet.
There are 2 mod, one is this one about the characters, the other is called "Myth word theme' which can configure to english and add more interesting stuff to the game. Check it out on steam workshop.
