    Awesome video thanks for sharing, will be doing this soon. Your exhaust flex pipes look way better than mine, I had to replace them a while back. By the way, what year is your A8 and at what mileage did you do this service?

    Thank you so much for the video. And about procedures with the OBD-II scan tool for transmission temperature and level check? Does it apply to your Audi model?
    Did you make the Transfer case, common oiling with front final drive oil change also?

    • @guzforce
      @guzforce 3 года назад

      Should I go like this:
      ATF Temperature, checking:
      Automatic Transmission Fluid temperature needs to be within a specified range when checking the fluid level. See your Factory Repair Manual for the range for your vehicle.
      [Select]
      [02 - Auto Trans]
      [Meas. Blocks - 08]
      Set group to "005" (Maybe group 002 or 004 in some vehicles - again check the Repair Manual).
      [Go!]
      The value in field 1 should be ATF temp in °C.

    How much transmission oil did you drain and refill? Does it have 4.0 or 3.0 engine?

  • @emondrag
    @emondrag Год назад

    is there a way to flush the fluid on the torque converter? on my tundra, I disconnected the line going to the ATF cooler, and drained it there, and then refilled. I understand that it uses 9 liters, but you can only drain about 6 liters just replacing the filter. What about the other 3 liters, any way to get them out? Thanks!

    • @DIYDime

      I'm sure there is a way to get complete oil out but unfortunately I don't know.

    Nice video! Do you just add fluid until it flows out? Do you have to adjust the fluid level later?

    I noticed your filter hung down, my new one when I did my change also hung down but the original was snapped into a bolt head with that black mount on top of tranny filter??my new filter did not "snap" to valve body like OEM, any issues that could arise from installing hanging filter? Thanks

    • @DIYDime

      As long as it’s OEM filter you should be fine.

      @@DIYDime is it possible there was an O-ring on the original filter that should have been transferred to the new filter when changing it and that's why the new filter hung loosely?

    • @smiller1413
      @smiller1413 2 месяца назад +1

      That is what I expect from an Audi Dealership! Try Every 35k and 40K miles... The recommendation is do it at 35 and 40, 75 and 80, 115 and 120. Bad fluid destroys the transmission and I am sure Audi would like you to pony-up the cash to replace one for (estimate) $15,000 ASAP.
