Art design is meh. Map is awful and inaccurate. Game time is WAY too long and calculating damage seems more complex than needed. No miniatures also. With all these flaws I would NEVER get anyone play this with me so its a hard pass. Gonna get Trench club legacy instead.
I think you're confused. This is a more typical wargame. What you are describing is something more ameritrash. Perhaps Memoir 44' or some variation of Risk might interest you more. Those two games dont compare even in the slightest.

The use of multiple, variant event cards is an elegant method to increase replay ability. Good choice.
