I order from Soul coffee roasted beans and grind it when needed. Can highly recommend Sri Lankan coffee.
Rental down south for a decent accommodation 2br, European level is about 700 USD, if there's a pool, then double it.
If you are a white foreigner you pay double for everything that has no price tag on it.
Costs in touristy areas are higher than in Colombo.
And visa hassle.

Street market is cheap.
So 100 Rs is .45 cents Canadian.
