Hello. My chinese 90cc three speed with reverse is now a 110cc with a 125cc head, which most people would say it can't be done. The 125cc head has a different bolt pattern, uses a larger cam sprocket and has bigger valves. But let me tell you that's what my engine has now and it runs pretty good. I'm using the 110cc head gasket. I did all the work myself with no special tools just a drill and a really steady hand. The top of the 110cc piston was tig welded to make it in to a high compression piston. I shaped the top of the piston with a 4 inch grinder, a file and a steady hand. The piston was turned over and the extra weight was removed from the bottom inside of the piston using only a drill bit and again a steady hand. It now weighs the same as the original 90cc piston. You can see this engine running when it was still 90cc. Then and now I'm still using a 32cc two stroke craftsman weed eater magneto fly wheel and coil. ( Homemade two engine Go-kart ) My point was to make a go-kart with as much as possible trash parts as I could. I think its a fun little ride.
Good video, timing seemed like a hassle, and when you used gasket maker you tightenes up the bolts right away, that is supposes to sit semi tight for an hour so it dries and takes shape, then tighten it all the way for the seal, but good video man, keep up the good work!
Repair manual says it is 0.05mm for both intake and exhaust valve at temperature under 35C. I didn't use this setting it felt too small. If I remember right the feeler gauge setting was 0.15mm on mine.
12:10 I'm stuck at that place...Tried to change my oils but i failed with the screw... the spring and the other thing came out like yours but it also came out a niddle like thing...
yea the hole is in the cam gear cover I don't know why gas would be spitting out of that but I'm going to get a new head so hopefully it won't do that no more
I have a Chinese clone engine like this but 49cc, I was trying to figure out how big of cylinder and piston I could replace the 49cc with without having to change connecting rod and crankshaft. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thank you.

So I Disassembled the cylinder and found out my piston was really dirty and my exhaust valves where leaking.. Cleaned everything, got new gaskets and when i mounted back the cilinder and tried timing the valves, I realized my Cam bracket was stuck... Any tips? maybe a bent valve? anyways good vid help me a lot for future repairs!

The reason I asked is because. Your cam mark is slightly off about 1mm. I'm in the same boat, my mark will not line up, I picked up a 49cc bike for $25 and it will not start. Only problem I see is the timing. As for checking the compression, I'm going to have to special order a spark plug adapter for my tester. Just curious if milling the head down 1 mm allowed you to line up your timing marks. As I said mine is basically half a tooth off. I can only set the timing retarded or advance.
It was all because of chain length. Whether it was too tight and I didn't get my cam sprocket on with chain on it or it was too loose and chain tensioner couldn't tension enough. I can change The length of a chain by adding or removing two links. In my case removing two was too many and adding two was also too many. The answer was somewhere between. I had to mill it before I took the video. As I remember I had no problem with timing afterwards and it ran great. You can check your sprockets and timing chain if these are worn out. Do you have spark? Spark plug looks fine?

Great work! You put wayyy too much faith in tightening those bolts so hard. Those cam bolts are screaming and will snap off.
Everything was fine. It was so good that someone decided to steal it and gone it was.

This is timing chain tension spring no need to open when changing oil.

Do you mean camshaft was stuck, seized?
@@TTR83 Yeah the camshaft. And yes its seized, I tried sniping it with my screwdriver but feels stiff to just more it slightly
@@tkiller97 Try to push rockers both exhaust and inlet, can you compress valve springs? But be sure that piston is not at top dead center.
What was the liquid sealant you used for the engine when putting the parts back?

I can't remember anymore. You have to try them. When In place and in correct order should be in equal lengths from engine as I know.
