    Best explanation of Romancing with Balance sheet ❤

  • @pranavmandlik
    @pranavmandlik 2 месяца назад +2

    Question:
    Great podcast and explanation, but I’m confused about one point. Sir mentioned that negative working capital is problematic because it suggests a company is using short-term borrowing for long-term assets. However, what if a company is using short-term borrowing for short-term assets, like receiving money before paying vendors and investing in inventory or raw materials which will boost the sales?
    Could you clarify this situation with Sir or explanation by yourself ?
    Thank you, and keep up the excellent work!

    • @imrangk2173
      @imrangk2173 2 месяца назад +1

      @@pranavmandlik it's understandable with current liabilities vs current assets ... Because in the balance sheet both sides have to equal
      If liabilities more than current assets means payments are going towards fixed assets instead of increased closing stocks ( indirectly payment to vendors ) ... That's why Cash flow is going negative

    • @InvestingWithUpsurge
      @InvestingWithUpsurge  2 месяца назад +2

      Yes, that is fine.
      The problem arises only in one scenario - where short-term money is used to purchase long-term assets.
