- Following developing Le Mans prototypes for Toyota and Audi in the late 90s, Dallara wanted to build their own entry. In 2001 Dallara created the SP1, created for the LMP900 class, aimed at being a customer car for private teams. At the same time, Chrysler was looking into being further involved with Le Mans after the Viper GTS R.
In 2000 they built LMPs with Reynard, but in 2001 sought a more competitive car as well as ending the Viper program. Chrysler landed on an agreement to use the Dallara SP1 and let partner Oreca help complete its development. It was known as the Chrysler LMP and used a V8 engine. Rollcentre racing used an SP1 with a Judd V10 after Chrysler left the program in 2005, and the Nissan V6 they had been experimenting with wasnt successful.
This specifically was the rollcentre with the v10, and was one of the loudest and nicest cars ive ever heard. would've been better to have the cars in this race further apart for better clips, but this was the best i got.
