What is so good about titanium? I've never owned a titanium watch before. I know it's lighter than stainless steel, right? But are they also scratch proof?
@@kurtkonnors8408 depending on the grade of titanium is that it is harder than steel, more scratch resistant, lighter, it actually feels 'warmer' than steel too. like look it up, it has a different feel. for me its a comfort thing, thats the best part. having a heavy heavy watch does suck! also titanium patinas differently than other metals, but it can be polished off if you dont like it.
These are just awesome. I've become more interested in the Astron series of late, due to the history and that new movement. These things are feature packed and built incredibly well. I suppose the only complaint would be that for that much money, the seconds hand still won't nail the indices every time. However, that is the case with other quartz watches at this price point, for example quartz Omega Seamasters.
Hi ForeverUnknowing, when I bought my Astron Ssh063 one of the specs listed was an "automatic hand position alignment function" which I assume corrects any misalignment of the hands. There's not much found on the net about it but it's listed as a spec everywhere. I know mine is always on the marks all the time ( scuse the pun !)
Same here. How do you like it so far? The dial color is really unique.. sometimes silver, sometimes white, sometimes mirror like.. a thing of beauty, IMO.
@@craik7 it works very well and I have received a lot of positive comments because of it. The only thing that has been difficult is learning all the different settings
They really look like stunning watches! Got to love a titanium watch too.

Blue dial and the blacked out one look fantastic.

@@j.harbottle8928 Good to know!
Mine lines perfectly so far
What's the name of the model of the first watch in the video (the all blacked out one)? It looks gorgeous.
It should be Astron GPS Solar Dual Time SSH069J1
What good is a prerelease sample if the movement is blocked? Just a waste of time if the most important feature of the watch is blocked.
FYI, The brand new Seiko Astron SSJ003J1 comes with 39 mm case
Please make its review ❤️
Hi, Have been thinking about buying this watch. I will use every day. What about scratches?
What's the model number for the second left?
What my number is the limited edition one SSH 071J1?
Any of these satellite watches come in 39-41mm diameter cases?
Yes there are new models that just came out at 39mm - the ssj003 and ssj005
@@craik7 can't seem to find it. Do you have a link?

The worlds first , amazing
Are the bracelets the same on the Grand Seiko?
No
Same style, but not the same build
Maybe
Great review, but you missed the SSH063 white/polar dial :-(.
That's the one I got.. looks nice
i have the one with the white dial
Good choice! I think that white/polar dial is the best looking one and I wish they had included it in this review.

I’d rather have a very restrained white dial… otherwise these look great.
Kojima special edition took my breath away.
Lol wait, why is Seiko blocking the movement on quartz watches?

These are pretty nice, but i feel they are still a step below the Oceanus.
