This is song is a perfect example of everything that was perfect about 80's hard rock/"glam" rock. A catchy AF riff, a sing along chorus, a shredding but tasteful solo....and all preformed by musicians who embraced the role of "rock star". Why is the music business struggling in the U.S.? Because we don't have rock stars here any more.
The recording industry decided they could have easily manageable beta male types to make boring music. What a lot of people don't realize all these rock bands from the '80s and I loved growing up in the 80s. These were tough men these guys work their asses off went through poverty fighting all kinds of stuff and when they made it big they made it big the recording industry may have taken him for granted sometimes the first time but not the second time these guys were not easily managed by a bunch of recording losers

Music such as this was the heart-beat of American youth in the 80's and early 90's. We get to revisit our youth and regain the same feelings of living in a supreme time in music history. Thank you for keeping this music alive and well. We don't choose to let it go.
This song still kicks ass in 2019. It is the first song I listen to when I log onto my computer. 54 years old and I am still a head banger, metal head, whatever term you want to use
@@Brand73 Everyone is not breaking motley crue’s records in 88-89 underrated... just a few years earlier and these guys actually would have been just as big as the big bands. World class musicians that could play just as good live. Unfortunately grunge ended it, plus the guitar player Marc left a tour so he could be present for the birth of his daughter. So they replaced him with some guy that could do the covers but didnt deliver beyond just trying to play Marc’s parts. And it seems like Terry is still upset at Marc for prioritizing family over fame.
That is simply the best " put - together music i have ever heard in my life. It's magical! What great work and chemistry with this fantastic band! I will die of old age with this song going through my head. ❤❤❤
Just saw XYZ saturday night and they are still great!!! New young guitarist is really good! Really enjoyed the show! Terry Ilous, you still got it my man!
Terry, just watched your show at Diesels Concert Lounge in New Baltimore , MI. What great memories from the late 70's and 80's. Probably the greatest era for rock music. Miss it dearly. What a time to be a young rocker.
Still enjoy tyhis oner, 55 now and can remember the week this hit the air.. Thank you Terry ILOUS, Keep it real and rocking. From the home of KSHE-95 Saint Louis Best Rock station since 1967 and been listening since "75"
They sure don't make music like this anymore, and the lead singer is a super hunk not to mention his flaming voice!! Brings back so many happy memories of my youth!
One of the catchiest tunes of the eighties, and one of my favorites, dam what a time to be young and into Rock and Roll just listen to that guitar solo and the melody, just all around bad ass.
I use that song as one of a few key demos for my mind blowing, awesome 9 speaker Klipsch, Definitive Technology TRINITY SuperCube sub, and SonyES powered theater room system.
That guitar looks exactly like my modded Kramer Baretta Special! NICE! On the top of my list of best guitars I've bought. Especially under 200 bucks! ROCK ON!
Mark has a video on RUclips about it. He didn't use the guitar to record the song because it sounded like shit. But he played it in the video. Mick Mars ended up with it and routed out the body to add another pup for Theater of Pain album
Rock N Roll will live forever. I play it all the time. I don't care who's around. This is real music with real musicians who actually play instruments. Great lyrics, great vocals, great musicianship. This is real music and not that junk you hear in the stations.
Just heard this song on D’s House of Hair for the first time. You all deserved WAY more recognition !! Amazing! Reminds me of back in the day, when I was married to Felix Hanemann the bass player for Zebra. The live music scene was so incredible. The world has no idea what they are missing!!
I'm so blessed to have been in my teen's and twenties during the 80's. You're so right that today's genaration has no idea what the world of so called music has drifted away from. Keep on rocking babe.
One of the BEST songs cranked up with the car windows all the way down driving in the summertime. This has always been one of my all time fave songs by any band
Most of the bands people refer to as '80s bands started in the '70s, but no doubt '70s and '80s were both great for rock music.. the first reply or says we wrote,, who is we???

Such a great, underrated band. Guitar player is awesome. Great licks and super clean. They would have been a lot bigger had they came out 5 years earlier.
This stuff needs to return... and i'm not talking the Darkness or Steel Panther to exaggerate it and turn it into a joke... this shit was great music to party to!!!
I'm 53. Rainbow Rising and Highway To Hell where my first records when I was 10, the 80s where the best era for good foot stomping hip swinging slow poke rock. That is a great fucking tune

So glad you did.Changed my life too. And after all this time holds up and sounds better then ever.Such a bad ass band and the guitar skills are dope to understate the obvious.
These guys were freaking awesome. Saw them in Long Beach when I was in the NAVY in 1989, just blew me away. I think it was still Joey on lead guitar at that time, but not sure. The whole hair-metal scene ended when it was just starting to get good. 1989, you had more than just the "W's" (Warrant / Winger / Whitesnake) you had all of these more-epic bands coming in to play (XYZ / Enuff Z'nuff, Slaughter, Trixter) all of the more "good-times / good tunes" bands. I really miss those days. Thanks to Terry and the guys for making my early NAVY years a bit more awesome! YOU GUYS ROCK!
Guitar tone is incredible.
Indeed it is!

80s easily the best decade of musicians .... Metal rules 🤘🎸
One of my favorite singers from the 80's, Terry had that great combination of bluesy tenor and clarity we all wanted in our bands back then

Extremely underrated band.
Not even....the meaning of underrated doesnt describe these guys.
The riffs make you go nutzz , terrific
I'm 53 and It seems difficult to find such a band nowadays. 80s really rocked.
Mammoth WVH - Eddie's kid's band. Check em out. You won't be disappointed
Riffs and beat and great vocals = XYZ Dancing around a bonfire in the wilds of Wyoming in 89...perfect.

Exactly, they came too late
They were a copycat band with a big label hoping to cash in on the trend of pretty boy hair metal. Unfortunately, it didn't work for either party.
