This has been one of the best series on RUclips! I love what y’all have done for this neighborhood…not only making it look better & giving back it's dignity, but making it so much safer for the residents to use the sidewalks that were formerly hidden by grass tendrils, dirt/mud clumps and debris. It really does not look like the same neighborhood. You two have returned it to planned, groomed and orderly. Congratulations on your progress in general and wresting the sidewalk back from grass intrusion. I do not recall the correct width of a city sidewalk, but you are regaining about a foot, which means the difference between 3 feet to now 4 feet of cleared safe space to walk on. Nice teamwork too, in picking up on the-next-step each time as you work.

@@itshisturf23 In our community 5’ sidewalks are standard and have been since about 1920. Some of our sidewalks are that old. Keep properly edged and clear of water, snow & ice these sidewalks will last 50-100 yrs. easily!! Thanks for all your hard work!!

Yes, and the city should replace the broken pavement. They’re now liable if someone trips on it and falls, because they won’t be able to blame the residents for it being unkempt!

Oh yeah! It has to be done, I love seeing them being reclaimed. I'm from England and the local council are supposed to take care of all the public land, during the 1st lockdown last year my husband and I went all around our edges and reclaimed the walkways some overgrown by 4 feet, for us as neither of us are in good health it took almost 2 months but it made a huge impact, so much so that neighbours asked to borrow our tools so they could do theirs. Let's hope what you guys have done will have a knock on effect in that neighbourhood. Bless you for helping other folks out that maybe done have the time, health or tools to do it 💗

Now a day people don't care especially if they are renting here in the United States is just give me give me and if they see paper or a can they won't pick it up why because they didn't throw it so don't think that the neighbor care sorry to say it but it's TRUE God Bless us with this land but we don't take care of it that's why we are like this .
