Hey Sean & Emily, Told you earlier, Goa is different, you will love South Goa. Caravela is a fabulous property, superb choice!! Yep, Sean has learnt the art of negotiating the hustle & bustle in the busy areas, frustrating as it might be! Stay a bit longer, and nobody will be able to tell the difference between a local & an outsider/tourist!! Filter coffee is available, but you need to specifically request for it! Instant coffee is easy way out, tell them, "No Nescafe". My default choice is always Filter Coffee. Instant coffee is for emergency situations where no choice, but you feel like having coffee. Enjoy yourselves. Ride safe & tc
Thanks for the advice, we definitely will try and find some authentic filter coffee! This hotel actually had bean in the coffee machines so that's great! 😊🙏

There are many theories for "Horn OK Please". 1. OK in "Horn OK Please" means "On Kerosene". To alert vehicles behind them, truck drivers may have adopted OK (stands for On Kerosene) for clear warning to other drivers. 2. One theory suggests that Tata, a prominent Indian company, introduced a detergent called “OK” under Tata Oil Mills Ltd. To market it, they used trucks as moving billboards, painting “OK” alongside a lotus flower. Over time, this may have influenced the phrase “Horn OK Please,” as “OK” became a common part of truck signage.
No...that is too much thinking in there 😅. That message just means "Please honk if you need me to give you side to pass." In north the message generally is like "Will give you to space to pass if I get space to my side." but in Hindi.
Another great video both. I was thinking about the toll road and is it possible that there is a counter linked to the barrier such that if the number of barrier openings does not tally with the takings the operator could get in trouble. Might explain them having a hissy eh

The states of Bihar, Gujarat, Nagaland, and Mizoram, and the union territory of Lakshadweep prohibit the consumption and sale of alcohol in India. Otherwise alcohol is freely available everywhere. Nowhere in the country can you consume alcohol in the open in a public place, so either at a restaurant , in a permit room, bar, hotel, or in any private place. To get good coffee in South India always order Filter Coffee, it's mostly authentic and good Indian milky coffee. Traditionally Indians don't have black coffee as such, mostly with milk. South India actually has been traditionally a coffee drinking society.
There was elections on the prevoius day so alcohol was not being served. Yeah that's what we were finding the coffee was always pre mixed with milk - even when ordering black coffee it came with milk lol
Those kids on the bridge (12:26 min) were not selling milk 🙂, most likely they were selling Toddy (local alcoholic beverage made from the fermented sap of palm trees). Toddy is a traditional drink in South India and in some parts in middle and eastern India. If you ever dare to try, try the freshest one (early morning collection)
Yeah it's harder to get good coffee in the countryside, for great coffee bangalore is definitely worth a visit, there are 100s of coffee shops. Most of the coffee grown in those plantations are exported or come to the cities
@@SeanandEmily yeah there are coffee chains in Bangalore that source specifically from certain plantations in that region, but yeah great coffee is definitely missing, sorry about the roads, we got a socialist government in Karnataka last time, and they spent all the infra money on freebies, free electricity, free buses, it's been bad here now, well always next election
Hope you're having a good time - guessing it's a lot hotter now than it was a couple of months ago but yeah it sur was hot (the fully vented suits we ordered did not arrive in time)
Long time back when International travels there used to be advisory to avoid or reduce consuming animal protein if across in different continent. The logic was the protein structure is different to what our gut is used to digest and hence the gut reacts. If you are not having fever (even slightly elevated body temperature) it basically will indicated you are not infected with bugs but its a general allergic response of the digestive track to the new protein. Try carb based well cooked food like "Khichidi", its made of rice and plant based lintels and something you will easily get "buttermilk" for probiotics and digested protein supply. Reduce on chilli and spice. Take some magnesium supplement to calm the gut. Slowly reintroduce protein once you feel better. This is how I survive the stomach attack when I travel to India.
Thanks for the tips, we are actually Vegan so have consumed no animal proteins sticking to lentils and beans. Our upset stomach is down to the spicy food -it’s tasty but doesn’t like is 😁
@@SeanandEmily it could be the water microbes also. You shouldn’t eat anything uncooked. Be very careful with water. Your stomach is not used to water microbes in this part of the world. Don’t put ice in your drinks unless you know the source. Fruits and fresh fruit juice is good -, but makes sure it’s not mixed with normal water. you won’t fall sick from fruits & vegetables - but make sure it’s dry if you use normal water to wash it. Water should be either bottled, aqua guard or boiled. I fall sick too when I am not careful. I don’t understand why foreigners come here & eat street food. Couple of times i ate street food, I fell sick coz I am not used to eating out & we have aqua guard at home to filter water.
Hey Sean & Emily, you're in my village, please let us know if you need anything while you're there in Fatrade, Varca. Unfortunately we live and are in Scotland at the moment . 😢
When Emily mentioned the family of monkeys, you accelerated very quickly away from that Sean. What are you telling us? No happily ever after??? 😂 Love from Bharat. 🙏🏾
You are right - getting good coffee is just by having coffee beans in our kitchen, because of heavy marketing of Nescafe and Bru most of people don't know the real coffee, except in some parts of Southern Bharat, sorry for inconvenience ......🙏🙏💞
U just passed by mishra peda which is a famous sweet of Hubli dharwad... u shd hv tried that, im sure u would hv liked it... but u get dharwad peda everywhere... u can still taste it if u r in Karnataka or even in goa

Hi would you like to visit a beach almost near goa let me know you will watch best forest jungle + sea totally safe to drive your bike till shore no public full enjoy
Seriously, you are in Karnataka coffee is staple here i am from Karnataka and i drink like easily 10 cups a day. I am addicted to coffee. And all of my family members drink coffee from my great grandfather to me. The famous is filter coffee mostly it is 80 percent caffeine and 20 percent chicory.
@SeanandEmily because it is easier to make many people in India they don't have coffee machine so even if you get the coffee powder from let's say coorg you still have to brew the coffee which if you are not familiar with will offset the experience. You can still brew coffee without the machine and there is a technique, but if you don't know the technique and you are hesitate to buy coffee machine then your go through drink is instant coffee. But that being said many hotels do provide two options one is filter coffee and the other is instant coffee, and this makes sense because the southern Karnataka especially coorg and Chikmagalur produce coffee, mysore and bangalore have great cafe culture and it is almost the staple drink they have so many cafe it is commercialized on national and international level, and when you go to temples in Udupi and shimoga they serve coffee, so those are southern parts of Karnataka which have a strong tradition of coffee and the northern parts not so much but in north Karnataka especially the north west part there is shift towards coffee so yeah in general they serve 2 coffee 1. Instant the other you should explicitly say I want filter coffee and they will give you.
Hotel had a coffee machine ...a really good one. They used it to heat up the water and then added instant coffee to it - such a shame when they are surrounded by people growing coffee beans
@SeanandEmily oh ok, maybe some local body elections, India has 28 states in total and only 4 states are dry, Gujarat, Bihar, Nagaland and Mizoram. Lakshwadeep Islands are also dry but they are not considered as a state it is a Union territory.

@@SeanandEmily Yes Sir, that is the truth. That is the message of Hindu New Year. People eat a small piece of sweet and bitter herbs just to remind that life is a mixture sweet and bitter experiences.
Kannada is the official language of state of Karnataka, the lang is spoken by 70 million ppl n it has a history of 2500 years..

Any plan to visit north eastern states in coming days bro😊
Maybe one day! But we are back home now -it was just a short 3 week trip
are you covering north eastern part off india in upcoming day
Not on this trip - this was just a 3 week visit

Those kids on the bridge (12:26 min) were not selling milk 🙂, most likely they were selling Toddy (local alcoholic beverage made from the fermented sap of palm trees). Toddy is a traditional drink in South India and in some parts in middle and eastern India. If you ever dare to try, try the freshest one (early morning collection)
Ahh interesting! Thanks for the info 😊🙏 I don't think we do dare lol
Next time come back with two bikes and ride all the way up to leh - laddakh. 😊
This bike is big enough for the both of us
Yeah it's harder to get good coffee in the countryside, for great coffee bangalore is definitely worth a visit, there are 100s of coffee shops. Most of the coffee grown in those plantations are exported or come to the cities
That's what we thought, we did have nice coffee when we stayed at the plantation however lots of the other hotels served nescafe 😆
Hope all is well... didn't see a vlog yet in the last 3 days... just checking in...
Yeah we are still working on it! 🙏
no idea how you guys managed to tour in those clothes in that heat - far too hot for me and I’m just sat on the beach 😂☀️

Our upset stomach is down to the spicy food -it’s tasty but doesn’t like is 😁
@@SeanandEmily 😅
Visit davanagere and taste. Benne dose the famous dish in karnataka

Hey Sean & Emily, you're in my village, please let us know if you need anything while you're there in Fatrade, Varca.
Unfortunately we live and are in Scotland at the moment . 😢
Thanks very much for your kind message. 😊🙏 and enjoy Scotland 👍
really funny that you are finding it difficult to find coffee in the land of coffee! 😃
It’s actually not that easy to find good coffee when you’re riding through the countryside 😂
When Emily mentioned the family of monkeys, you accelerated very quickly away from that Sean. What are you telling us? No happily ever after??? 😂 Love from Bharat. 🙏🏾
There was traffic - as much as i am pro monkey viewing it's not worth an accident lol 🤣
You are right - getting good coffee is just by having coffee beans in our kitchen, because of heavy marketing of Nescafe and Bru most of people don't know the real coffee, except in some parts of Southern Bharat, sorry for inconvenience ......🙏🙏💞
Wow so Nescafe is seen as the better option due to marketing 😲
@@SeanandEmily yes! they have little appreciation of the real coffee they grew up with!
1:43 it's excellent NEET coaching centre on the left my uncle owns it !!!
Ahh cool! 😎👍
U just passed by mishra peda which is a famous sweet of Hubli dharwad... u shd hv tried that, im sure u would hv liked it... but u get dharwad peda everywhere... u can still taste it if u r in Karnataka or even in goa
We'll keep that in mind for our next trip!
29:42 That is the hottest chutney you get in any food, PLEASE always taste a small dip first. Never go all in with Indian food! 😅
Haha that we have learnt the hard way 😆
Guys I'm following your series, and just had one question. Do you guys also fight like a normal couple? I mean do you fight at all? Also, please let me know if you require absolutely anything on this trip. Any help, questions, anything I can do, I will. Safe travels 💕🥹
We barely have time to clean our teeth on tour let alone fight 😁 thanks very much 😊🙏🏻
You would have taken hubli belgaum high way instead of Karwar road..
ok
I am surprised, south India is famous for authentic filter coffee. Sad you could not go to a restaurant...
We were surprised too. Kept getting served milk coffee or nescafe
You are riding like an Indian today 😂😂
It all feels very normal now 🤣....we have been converted (well almost 😉)
Hi would you like to visit a beach almost near goa let me know you will watch best forest jungle + sea totally safe to drive your bike till shore no public full enjoy

thanks for the tips

That's a great idea!

Any plan to visit telangana state I future 😊
Not on this trip but maybe in the future
Once you ride bike in india than in UK it will be easy peasy.
if we can remember how to follow rules 😁
@SeanandEmily 😅 but don't worry your heavy weight fines will make you remember the rules again.
Then why is everywhere we are staying serving us instant coffee? 🤣
I have a suggest you Indian nice place in West Bengal Siliguri North East India
Thanks for the tip 😊🙏

if you guys wanna know about some really cool and quiet places in Goa to visit lmk. i can give some suggestions. (if you guys are in Goa rn lol)
Thanks that would have been awesome but as you suspected we are no longer there, thanks 😊🙏
Karnataka is not a dry state, Maybe the hotel you were staying in didn't have a bar.
it was election time
@SeanandEmily oh ok, maybe some local body elections, India has 28 states in total and only 4 states are dry, Gujarat, Bihar, Nagaland and Mizoram. Lakshwadeep Islands are also dry but they are not considered as a state it is a Union territory.
