(BOTH OF THEM) i'm a long time fan & i've been following them, their whole lives. i even did a report about them, back in 3rd grade.. i've always been able to tell the 2 apart. Ashley is just alil-bit taller & she's gotta tiny birthmark, above her lip. Mary Kate has always been my favorite tho.. she has more of a bubbly personality. but i remember a time, when they said they'd NEVER do a movie without 1 another. but Mary Kate has been on Beastly, & she's been on that show Weeds, & i do believe there was somethin else that i've seen her in, WITHOUT her Sister, but i just can't remember WHAT, at the moment. i really think they aughta do more movies, i kinda miss them.

I think it's pretty clear they've had more trauma in their lives then they are letting on. When you change your face with plastic surgery that much, its not only insecurities, but probably some trauma tied up in it too. They would have been stunning if they never changed how they looked. And I'm sure how they look is a fairly big reason they stay out of the spotlight now. They know they look different and people think they look horrible now, and thats all people will be able to talk about. Comparing then and now. They probably do like keeping things personal. But I think there's more to it then just that. They wouldn't really be able to get back into the limelight in the same good vibe ways anymore. Even if they wanted to. It would all be negative backlash with sprinkles of nice people.

It is great Mary Kate and Ashley have such a strong relationship to this day. Obviously it has a lot to do with how they grew up acting together , working together and also twins often are very close. It is a close bond many people are lucky to still have with their sibling by their 30s. However, I never get the impression they have many true friends or confidantes outside of that relationship. It seems as though it has been to the detriment of their other relationships. Sure they have had partners and Mary Kate has been married, but I never get the impression they truly grew into their identities. Always seemed a little bit of a codependence beyond what most siblings have. Neither ever really appears to look happy. I don't know if it just a camera appearance because they really don't like being photographed or if they are genuinely quite unhappy people. I hope not. Most people would say they would do anything to have the success and wealth that they had from such a young age, but I guess it can come at a price.
