- Paul and Jamie get a trial run at being parents when they agree to babysit their nephew.
From Season 2 Episode 6, 'An Unplanned Child'. Paul is supposed to be babysitting his nephew but he has to work and forgets to tell Jamie. Jamie ends up looking after their nephew which leads her to worry about what will happen if she and Paul have a child of their own.

Janeane Garafalo played adult Mabel in the final episode.
In a flashback scene in that episode, a teenaged Mabel was played by Cara.
In the prior season, Meredith Bishop played 18 year old Mabel in the episode "Letters to Mabel".
Finally, Baby Mabel was played by Alyssa Baric starting with the first episode of season 6 "Coming Home".
