It’s good that every Major part of ladakh have got 5 new District, Which help towards inclusive growth. But the question is will LAHDC Leh and Kargil will demonstrate ? or disintegrate? After all it’s a statutory law. or every district will get there Own council? We should celebrated but We should ask questions to the govt, there intention and motives. Is there plan towards sustainable development growth Like (Chandigarh)or unplanned manner development Like (delhi). After all the people of every district have to suffer (Protest)or pleasure.

The Sixth Schedule is more effective for regions in northeastern India with significant tribal populations, as it grants autonomy and allows local governance tailored to tribal customs and needs. Safeguards, on the other hand, offer broader protection across India but may not provide the same level of autonomy or local control. Sixth Schedule is better for ensuring self-governance and cultural preservation in specific tribal areas. To apply the Sixth Schedule to a specific area or community, the following steps are generally involved: 1. Proposal and Demand: Tribal communities or political representatives in a region may demand the application of the Sixth Schedule to protect their rights, land, and customs. 2. State Government Involvement: The concerned state government typically initiates the process by considering the demand. It may form committees to assess the need for Sixth Schedule provisions in the area. 3.Recommendation and Resolution: If the state government supports the demand, it passes a resolution in the state legislature recommending the inclusion of the area under the Sixth Schedule. 4. Central Government and President's Approval: The state government forwards the resolution to the central government. The proposal is then reviewed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The President of India, after consultation with the Governor of the concerned state, may direct the application of the Sixth Schedule to the area. 5. Amendment to the Constitution: If necessary, the Parliament may amend the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution to include new areas or make changes to existing provisions. Once the process is complete, the region is governed by the provisions of the Sixth Schedule, allowing for the creation of Autonomous District or Regional Councils with specific powers and responsibilities.. #save Ladakh
