- This video shows the presser foot up without the tension discs released. Using the knee lift we are able lift the presser foot higher, which will release the discs and makes it easier to pull the thread through for threading.
You are my hero! Thank you so much. Only listening to your voice takes the stress away. I had stopped using my machine for quite a while coz couldn't find the reason for the thread breaking, no matter how many videos I watched. You explain so clearly! ❤
I just have to say you have saved me big time. I have always struggled with the tension on my Juki DU-1181N. You have explained the tension issue so clearly. Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
After six months of battling breaking thread, this tutorial just saved my sanity!! Thankyou so much

Thank you so much! Helped me bigtime with getting my machine go back to its fine stitches. I didn’t realise it has tension issues, I just thought the fabric is quite hard to use. But I tried this and it looks perfect now.

Hi,
Thank you for making these helpful videos.
My problem is, the upper thread breaks so often, like in every 5 inches stitch it goes. Can you help me find a solution?
I have a juki machine

I'm gonna try it right now
in my machine the black hook on the tention heade is not moving what is the reoson please help
Good day,
I have a juki Ddl 8700. A few days ago, I did tilt the sewing machine open to see the level of oil within, and since doing that, it stopped sewing. Before I tilt the sewing machine off its table, the tension was on 3, but now the tension can not be positioned on 3 but on lower numbers, which makes the Reserve bar lift continuously up and down without control, garthers the under thread. I need to sew straight. Please, what can I do to fix this?
Please help me. I'm sewing thin fluffy fabrics and the machine puckers my seams. The seam seems to be wrinkled. I can't adjust the thread tension. Hellllppppp. I have juki ddl 8000a
Thanks alot for assistance. I couldn't get away with this until I this video. I do appreciate your efforts helping us is 100% positive please
Glad it helped!
why is the tensioner jammed in Brother B755 ind. machine? after loosening the side screw should it not just pull out. Mine is stuck hard, why??
I cut the thread on the machine, the thread is inside under the head, can my machine still work
Hi, thank you for this very helpful video. I do sew on a juki ddl 5550n, about 9 hours 4 days a week, and my thread is shredding above the needle. I have to stop almost constantly to rethread the needle. As you can imagine I am loosing my mind. I change the throat plate, change the needle, feel for burr’s on the hook…no dice. Could you please give me any insights you may have? I did not know about the tension disks pulling apart during threading and I will certainly be using that technique from now on. Thanks again.
Thank you but I think my machine needs to be checked the place where we are putting the thread mine is not moving
Have you done a video on the foot tension the white drew dawn on top. My foot seems to tight I tried unscrew it but fit still tight, seems to pucker the material a bit could you help plz

Hi
Please can you try help with my sewing machine the tension is not working, I have singer sewing machine made in France.
My machine is not stitching, I've tried everything but it's still not working! It should be something with the tension cause the top thread is not moving
Hai Nice video but I tried it in my sewing machine and if I put both upper and lower tension same the stitching is not proper then I increased the upper tension 10 times to lower the tension the stitching fine but my machine gives me loud sound. Can you help me with this? I will share with you the video to your mail-id. Thanks in advance.
Good afternoon sir,my own machine is Sears and i have a problème of threat the machine
I have had a Juki 1541S for several years now and the one thing that would improve it immensely for me, as I do large canvas work, boat covers etc. is for there to be an aftermarket option to run reverse without having to use the right hand to hold it down. When stitching large pieces it takes both hands to guide the material and in boat tops there are intricate areas that require long backstitching. As it is, the workpiece can wander as the weight of the material pulls it off course when you only have one hand to guide it. Do you make or do you know of any option to make an automatic backstitch for the 1541S?
The only auto backstitch I know of for this machine would be on the Juki DNU-1541S-7. It is a small fortune. I think around $5000. There is no aftermarket solution that I know of.
Hi. Thank you for a video!
I have juki8700. Checked the all. But still thread is breaking
Hello Sir
Great video. Question what about bird nest. My machine sew but bottom stitch is loose or looks like bird nest. How can I fix it? The sewing machine is juki ddl -555
Mine is doing the same thing! I can't get it fixed no matter what! I wish there was a response to your comment
Check your bobbin.if you hang it and releases thread easily it will cause birdnest thread so tighten the small screw near the hook.hope this helps.
My discs are not moving
Thankyou so much. I have a problem of thread from the needle comes off as i start stitching! unable to figure out where I went wrong in threading the machine
