They really need to fix sapphires. It’s sad to no longer see that distinct bright purple hue
I like the pinkness of phase two dopplers, but i have a red inventory and i miss the red parts of the phase 1 and 2s. Like my only option for a red doppler is ruby now and thats too expensive.

Just one line : Various bugfixes for stickers, weapon finishes, and gloves, Cs2 dev can single handily make the whole market crumbling down, or raise the entire market up. Its seem like they cant make up their mind, buying skin right now its truly like gamble, and all player depend on the emotion of one group of people: Cs2 dev. If on a rainy day they feel like it, they can change everything back and we will all be fked

Would love your thoughts on this, do you think sapphires will get "fixed" in the future? From my perspective they seem broken as most of them have a considerable amount of green in them and some shades/patterns look more purple than blue. I thought when CS2 came out and there was so much green in sapphires that valve would fix that but its been a few months now and still the same. Maybe they are focusing on other things first (even though lots of skins are getting overhauls) or maybe they want it to be like this. What do you think?
Completely reasonable to assume that they're going to get fixed. The odds only go down as time moves forward however...

I'm holding a T1 blue gem classic knife and the change to the wavey finish has ruined how it looks. Can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet
P2 dopplers had the biggest w. Looking way better and not looking like any other skin
a virtual copy of a skin in a game should not cost 40k in the first place, good changes
Pandoras will always be goated. I recently saw someone with a pair of pandoras + a P1 doppler Bayo with the purple closer to the handle and pink close to the tip. Honestly it was the sickest combo I've seen so far in CS2.
Yo the classic knife high wear is still very broken. I have high float slaughter >0.21 FV and the edge is no longer visable like in csgo. Same with crimson web classic knife. Float needs to be much higher now and slaughter isn't available in these float ranges.
I had a lime green loadout and now i have 5 shades of green and my stuff don't match. Especially after doing 500+ dollar for matching 4x crafts, it's depressing to see a once belowed collection becomeing something lackluster at best.

Pattern template of vice gloves have always been the deciding factor not FLOAT. FN new with shit pattern on knuckles were less expensive than the MW with great pattern template. CS2 just made it a bit harder but no matter what, the pattern template was always the main deciding factor.
It is so sad what they did to Sapphires. I really hope they change it.

Classic Knife Stained completely lost the classic wavvy edge.... It looks horrible in BS now. They have broken a LOT of skins. Go look at the Golden Coil and see the fine detailing all blocky and jagged. It looks baddddd.
same with Classic Knife Crimson web and Classic Knife slaughter. The knifes with the defined edge are now much higher in float. Cant even get slaughter knifes in the right float range for this now.

Referring to the daily skin changes that happened weeks after launch that slowed down way before holiday season. Has nothing to do with holiday season, you will see that they have mostly finalised the changes to how skins look. No question.

jokes aside, those shifts in hyper high tier itens may be actually good for a more healthy environment in skins trade... there were LOTS and LOTS of crap and scizophrenic ideias created be people surrounding some skins to inflate prices, create demand and stuff... to approach the real world to the - exclusive $10k itens above - seems good
e.g. patterns in black pearls (ice stuff) was absolute crap... i'm glad they killed the thing by the roots...
sapphires don't look bad... in fact they look better, but alas... indeed it should not look so close to phase 3 and 4
rubies are better, tough they lost the super reddish appearance
black pearls are giga fine now (mostly deserved, and they should look even better)
Blue Gems - is sort of a very old idea that sprang from the very beginning of skins collection when there were not that very many options... like what (crimson web, fade)... so it kind of makes sense that they are a thing of the past... and still they look very very good still, it's just not plausible to nerf new stuff cause the old shit must reign forever... it is more reasonable not to consider pricing a skin over the millions instead
Even what they're doing is not enough. They should change skins even more so prices drop even harder. Asking for thousands for a pair of gloves should not be acceptable. All the skins that are sold outside of Steam are not taxed by Valve, so their incentive is definitely to keep them in the price range of Steam marketplace so it's easier for people to sell the skins on Steam marketplace and thus Valve is getting their share.
IMO they should remove the ability to trade CS skins between players. If they do that, all the third party websites will be gone overnight. And the max a skin will be able to be sold for will be Steam marketplace, which is 2k?
That won't happen and for good reason valve already is aware of 3rd party sites and people selling skins on 3rd party sites almost everyone that owns skins would be banned if that were the case leaving those skins untradable for anyone and another reason skins are so expensive is because of how rare they are try spending 2 grand on opening cases and see what u get you might get a glove or knife or maybe 4 gloves or knives but I guarantee you they won't be the gloves or knives you want and they will be cheap gloves and knives I think skins are reasonable priced for how rare and hard it is to actually unbox them

@x.nihilo never gonna happen keep dreaming though and if they removed trading that would mean selling items on steam would be removed as well because it's a form of trading the item gets taken out of your inventory and stored into a steam inventory and once someone buys it the item goes to them from that inventory and you receive the money if u want skins pay for them, open cases and gamble for them, or play without skins
@x.nihilo u clearly don't understand the market for skins in cs like I said valve already knows about people selling for cheaper on 3rd party sites and they don't care as long as the site doesn't promote actual gambling they could care less they arnt losing any money because at the end of the day the skins belong to valve and they are always stored on a steam account u cant remove them from a steam account the skins dont get put onto the sites they get transferred to a bot accounts steam inventory that the site runs valve makes money off of people opening cases, buying keys, buying in game sound tracks, stickers, and sticker capsules and people buy skins off 3rd party sites for cheaper and resell on steam market for a profit to buy games, open cases, etc so more sales on steam happen than if these 3rd party sites didn't sell cheaper skins cuz no one would sell their expensive skins on the steam market they would just keep them because no one wants to be stuck with $2000 on steam and people would stop opening cases so at the end of the day valve is still getting their cut
