I appreciate that you've had a good rapport with Brian: so can discuss his shutdown at-arms-length. I know the larger Chia community hasn't always approved of your Chia content: and you could have taken this opportunity to gloat. Very professional.
I didn't heavily invest into chia, but I've farmed since day one with 10TB (not TiB), I've hit a few pool blocks and I'm ahead. I wanted a larger farm however given everything it seems I've a far better cost to reward ratio
Dang Brian, you were losing money with Chia at $25+? How bloody expensive IS your electric? (few seconds later, mentions Californa) Oh, NO WONDER. Rather high electric ANYWHERE in that state, my PUD sells some of it's Hydro surplus that far south. 21 cents / KWH is over 5 TIMES my price (though I get a senior discount, most folks here pay about 4 times cheaper).
I think chia is dead on the carbon credits front. They aren’t pursuing it aggressively as needed to win out in that area. Hope chia price dips lower. I want to buy it up sub $10 (I still like the technology).
Hey guys, i have an issue about updating to new chia gui 2.00.1 version, i updated my chia gui version but now all my plots are invalid, when i look to information, it only says "only supports new protocole" i could not find a solution, can anyone help?
I saw this comming and replotted my 1.2 PB farm with BladeBit RAM. It made significantly better plots than the GPU c0 plots. Meaning that the Bladebit Plots consistantly find more proofs than the c0. So I went non compression with all virtual machines and enterprise NVME. Harvester latency is aroun 500 MS per 5-600 TB.
The video content is very interesting! I am a little confused: someone sent me a usdt and I have the recovery phrase. 「pride」-「pole」-「obtain」-「together」-「second」-「when」-「future」-「mask」-「review」-「nature」-「potato」-「bulb」 How do I extract them?
How is his kwh per tb? My farm is sitting in Germany, i pay about 25 euro cents per kwh. Chia price is now 24 Euro, and i can go down to 18.6 euro, from that i would loos money. My conclusion is, his hardware is extremly poor. I use a normal user pc and have about 547 tib of original plots, 3950 amd, two m2, an hba and a 20 sata ports card and a corsair 1000 watts psu platinum. I am under 310 watts.
With higher density you need air conditioners to get the heat out of the room. He maybe also run high compression rates which reduces energy efficiency at some point.

What does MaxMax coin do for the world? Is there any likelihood of businesses using the coin or will it always be an alt? So will there be a future in it? If Chia fades to pennyland will Max coin hold on? Holding on to my ~950TiB OG plot farm. I am using a lot of old drives but cheap hydro power so probably slightly profitable or break even i will just keep on until OG K32 is unsupported. There was a competing coin not Chia-related that someone had made a comment about on 1 of your videos probably 6+ months ago i want to research that.
Wasn't there a significantly larger farmer than him in a business warehouse? I saw it on X months ago it was ginormous I do not remember who it was I'm curious how they are doing
i warn them many times. i mean team. they always banned me from discord. now we are here. i completly hate hoffman and team can not manage chia well. where is bram? why he is not leading team? pffff
I came up with a useful idea. Chia should rename itself. Chia no more. New name suggestion? Dogs Breakfast. Whelp, I really feel bad for this guy. He's smiling. Good on him. When he mentions how many hard drives he would have to sell. Yikes. Being high visibility when you are the operator of a failing business is a tough go. I don't think it's totally hit him yet if I'm being honest. Poor Investor I get the giggles. It is actually funny. Manure, stacked on top of manure, stacked on a foundation of manure. I hate to ask, but is your next guest going to be Digital Spaceport? He's gone MIA. Go figure. Poor Investor for the win. You turned off and there wasn't much hurt. You invested wisely. As did I. Chia has stacks. Stacks of manure.
@@brianfreeman2500 Well, you have a lot of mettle. Any business venture that doesn't turn out is bad enough, but then to have it visible and public. So it really says a lot that you are willing to talk about it openly and maintain a positive attitude. I am a believer that a new path will open up from this. It did for me. Chia brought me to something that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Chia itself didn't pay off for me but pursuing it led me to something much better.
I also turned off my Chia systems after more than three years of continuous farming. It was a sad day.
Sorry UltraJones. I feel you.
Nice to see a new video for those of us that still enjoy CHIA content lol.

I thought he did an A+ interview job here. Despite my dead mic.
I stopped farming because my OS SSD is full and i was too lazy to swap it with a new one lol
Glad to see you around my brother ❤

It applied to NoSSD too - but SOME of us were smart enough to replot ahead of time where needed. 8-)

It is amazing how Brian afforded all that hardware, during the peak!!
ballerz.

We all saw this farming situation coming. None of us saw $26 XCH after halving.

I have a small "set and forget" 22TiB farm.... what should i do with it?
Be happy you don’t have more

Running 1000+ drives individually connected is just not feasible for a single person. You would need some kind of a warehouse to do this.
I had 45 PiBe in Southern California where it is hot as hell. Good luck bro!
40+ Pib and didnt buy a decent microphone
my guess: IPO will be after Cloud Wallet Pro by which CNI can prove they can earn profits by their softwares.
i doubt it but they can try.
Compression made it change to proof of power😢

340 TB?
I've got more than that in my 3'd smallest server ALONE.
Small farm.
And no, Chia isn't dead - but it's on life support and dying.
still farming 50 tb only make the power back so maybe the price of chia will go up
@poorinvestor @another shit coin should of sold when it reached all time high @ the fork how do we sell now? what exchanges?
Interview @ $28 a month ago. $14 now. My fault.
😂
chia died when they introduced gpus
Chia died, when they prefarmed everything
Redhat is a BAD example to compare CNI to.
The price of electricity is cheap in California. In Germany, I'm already happy to have a contract at 0.33 cents/kwh.
Brian, I'll buy a case of drives if you're selling any off! Lol
😆
@@poorinvestor What's funny? 🙃
Sounds good! I’m selling drives and JBODs 👍🏻
I'm still in!
In other words, its a good price to buy
Good luck
It seems more like a falling knife..

@@poorinvestor Correct I don't want anyone else to lose money to this.
the all time chart of chia looks like a rug pull^^ this coin is 100% dead
Cyberopolis appears to be a spam scam. FYI anyone reading comments.
Imo mad max killed this project by opening the door to compressed plots and gpus. Then it was Chia's fault they didn't immediately ban it's use.
i warn them many times. i mean team. they always banned me from discord. now we are here. i completly hate hoffman and team can not manage chia well. where is bram? why he is not leading team? pffff
Noted - Cyberopolis is a scam.
Dead mic
Sorry. Don’t know what happened there.
Check Salad AI Mining out rent out your gpu and cpu
Not profitable because of Chia or... California.
Both
Im still in 100%. But im literally 1/5th his pwr cost....
IPO ready lol
hahah I'm WWE, UFC, MMA ready too!
Price appreciation is everything in crypto unfortunately. Without it, nothing really works
Tell that to chia 😉
