Easy, cause it's not one algorithm. Older algorithm was more like here is a 10mn video I know you like long videos don't you. But now the algorithm seems more chill since he plaster you with 2 ads in the beginning and 2 ads at the end no matter how long the video is
It's more than 15 seconds long and from a channel with millions of subscribers, I'm surprised it was even recommended to me.
