So a Leaf Spy isn't required for SOH? Just check bars? How many bars are 100% SOH? Is it accurate?

Leafspy is a lot more accurate, bars gives a guide but we always provide a leaf spy report as it goes to the .00%. If you are looking at buying a car you need the leaf spy data, for comparing your car to another the bars are what some folks go on. 12 bars are 100% so each bar represents about 8% with a bit of tolerance. Is it accurate? Not enough for buying a car from but enough to feel happy about what you have.

Is the 30kwh leaf capable of vehicle to load?
Could a sparky easily make it vehicle to load as a second life for the car?
I'm imagining paking it up in the corner of a workshop to use as stationery storage at end of useful range life.

Well yes and no. We use an inverter on the 12v to approximate V2L so you can pull 2-3kW in a pinch, there is a bit of loss as it charges itself up from the traction battery but it is pretty useful in a power cut. We do have a video about this. :) The traction pack is removable and there are several companies using them for solar storage with a plan to offer grid support units. There is a lot of life in a leaf when the range gets low. The best part is they re really cheap, durable and waterproof if left in the pack.
