Nicely done. Since the sound of wind instruments is primarily from the vibrating column of air, the fact that it is plastic doesn't impact the timbre significantly.
I'm in doubt about what to choose for learning to play in casual, jazzy manner just for relaxing purposes - Venova, jSax or Clarineo. Currently Clarineo seems to be the most versatile, although I like jSax "saxy" sound better.
I was so disappointed by my Venova, it is almost impossible to get sharps and flats to play in tune. This limits you to the key of C. I play sax, flute, & recorder, so this wasn't my first rodeo. Knowing all this, this a beautiful rendition considering the instrument's limitations.
cool. It would be better if accompanied by musical notes of each song uploaded. So that can provide knowledge to the viewers. I like your videos.. And I have been subscribed..
katapilaro Mi interkonsentas! Ĉi instrumento sonas pli bona ol mi pensis je ĉi prezo. Homoj diris min, ke ĝi sonas teruraĉa sed mi pensas kontraŭe. Kvankam povas esti la buŝaĵon.
I think venova is better, firstly the compact size secondly i heard it myself from the video: "akihabara plastic orchestra" that Jsax horibbly out of tune, maybe it's just his unit though but i don't know for sure But i will buy this for sure when it's available in my local music shop
According to the specifications, the jSax has a fully chromatic range from middle C to G in the next octave. You just need to remove the "training wheel" plugs. Yes, Venova has larger range but people in Amazon comments seem to agree that jSax is much easier to start playing in tune. I've seen that plastic orchestra video and also was shocked by jSax performance but not sure if the player didn't do something horribly wrong (maybe didn't attach the mouthpiece correctly? position of mouthpiece can seriously affect semitones). Anyway, I too am in doubt about what to choose for learning to play in casual, jazzy manner just for relaxing purposes - Venova, jSax or Clarineo. Currently Clarineo seems to be the most versatile, although I like jSax "saxy" sound better.
camelCased bought one last week. Never played anything bigger than a soprano recorder before...After 2 days trying to get some “sound” out of it I decided to take it back and came home with a huge Tenor Recorder. Got it playing right away. Lolol....my Venova sounded like a squeaky trombone. And the girl at the store made it sound soooo beautiful. But she said the Nuvo sax is easier to play. Btw, Venova has a similar Yamaha (forgot the #) soprano sax’s mouthpiece, and you can use the cane reed too, not only the plastic one. Good luck guys.😊
I think this is probably the best piece played by Venova, BRAVO !🌺
Nicely done. Since the sound of wind instruments is primarily from the vibrating column of air, the fact that it is plastic doesn't impact the timbre significantly.
Great sound! Reminds me of a bit of the bamboo sax with improved tone + a soprano sax. And at only $100!
Reminds me of a clarinet. Yuck.
Very nicely played. You have good breath control and excellent vibrato. Thank you for this Venova demonstration.
Wow! Love the sound of this instrument.
Very beutifull.....sound venova...👍👍👍

So... A Recorder and a Saxophone had a baby.... Damn these inter-species relationships
Wistbacka next thing you its a brass instrument and a woodwind
Yep that is how Yamaha themselves described it
The saxophone was created to be like a clarinet and have the range of a brass
oof foo they kinda already have that. I can’t remember the name, but there’s a brass instrument with keys just like a sax
+milo the viewer ophicleide is what you are talking about
Wow...nice sound
SO BEAUTIFUL
Nicely done

A very nice rendition for the toy instrument. You deserve to play on an old beaten up tenor. Wanna borrow mine?

Jsax vs venova, what is your impression?
I think venova is better, firstly the compact size

From my research I reckon jsax sounds slighty better but isn't fully cromatic so the venova wins for me

@@houghwhite411 , you can tune a jSax by adjusting how far down the mouthpiece is applied.

He's saying the video is fake because of the sound and placement of the month piece.
待ちの指のポジションが、楽器から離れ過ぎです。もう少し近づけないとトリルが遅れてカッコ悪いですよ。
