Funny almost seems like you know me fairly well. True I have limited patience for things I must wait on. Also short patience for bad fishing days. Alas when it comes to a day of Shakers. Don't bother me too bad. It's the boredom that does me in! Or the days when you're doing more time Baiting & Re-Rigging from snags. I'm with you David on the shakers. You know our fishing by now, we're due for another Keeper Striper! Just working on unlocking what will do it. You know we've forsaken our Painting Channel and our Vacation Channel for this one. Just came to mind... hope to get them going soon also. Time... is the enemy my friend. It's a decent pier! Though I've lived in a few states as well as a few different countries, I have lived near Antioch before. So know the area some. I fished that pier over 40 years use sardine heads and live bait one of the best spots is the end right corner check out the names by one of the water outlets on the pier good luck 👍

Did have now 2-3 other mention end of the pier. Though the right side was taken when we got there. Say one thing wind was CRANKING at the end. Often that windy?
One suggestion someone made was Sardines. Another said at the very end of the pier, cast towards the other shore. One of our recent Antioch Pier trips we did cast out a Sardine. Large things, it only got one bite. We also tried Squid it got a few bites but when the Anchovies were getting 4-1 bites. We changed baits. Omg it was semi hard with some of the lures. Hey my brother you should try mudsucker, jumbo Minnows or a bluegill. I was there a week ago caught a 30incher off mudsucker. I caught a few mudsuckers by the shore to your right. Because the store is very pricy.
Right on for the info! We've tried Mudsuckers twice before. Probably just bad luck but no bites. Normally don't think of them. We did try to buy Ghost Shrimp that day but two bait shops were out. On our next trip (already filmed) we cast out some Jumbo Sardines, Shrimp & Anchovies. Yeah they are costly heh. What bait/rig set up to catch them? Ken & Lea
Martinez are going crazy with keepers.pile and blood worms ..we been goin every weekend an limit out .give it a try anywhere around banicia area is good fishing right now
Thanks good buddy for the info! Nice to know where the bit and sizes are. We've used those worms in the past. Last 2 trips we did for Striper shops around here were totally out. Many other baits out of stock also. We'll see if we can get out there, we have a few planned trips. Martinez will be more distance than we normally go. Thanks again though! I always wanted to go there but hate crossing back to sac for a fee unless i take long way home. What size weights are u guys using? If they were really attacking it from the surface I would try a flutter spoon drop it to the bottom and work it back up.

Think we need a permanent set up for each type of fishing, so we can Grab & Go! Funny for Spoons first fish that came to mind was Trout. I admit I've little experience with them.

David I totally hear you boss! Someone else made comment on it also. Alas it was actually Sea Weed they were tossing back. Was watching them do it was about to say why you tossing those trash bags in the water, I looked back & the Sea Weed that was RIGHT THERE was gone. Garage they actually tossed in the cans. Right on for mentioning that... I can't say with 100% certainty but I do believe they were tossing Moss/Vegetation. I see a time or two, then the ones in the video, on the more distance view of him tossing looks like Moss. Also seen them toss other garbage in the garbage. Look like they cleaned it up nice! Any idea what might land a larger one? I’m thinking full sardine or squid with a stinger rig maybe?

Yeah was 3oz-5oz. Flutter Spoon... one lure I've never heard of. Though I have a feeling what it may be. Chances are something we'd have to pick up.

As far as I know yes it is. I think all piers in the Delta/Bays are free to fish. Best to double check though. Fish on boss...
