I see some people in the comments attributing the health of their child to what they ate during pregnancy. If your child is not the picture of health, PLEASE DON'T beat yourself up. I have many chronic illnesses and it's NO ONE'S FAULT, especially not my wonderful mother's.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody, and have safe delivery, Katherine!

There is always a reason as to why someone develops an illness, and the cause can always be traced back to someone's actions. The important part is doing the things that make a human being healthy. If someone's child isn't healthy, the parents are at fault. By the way, the information in this video is absolutely fantastic for getting rid of chronic illnesses.

I've been vegetarian since I was 14. However, when pregnant with my daughter, I craved liver and ate it every day. The morning after delivery, I couldn't stand it again. It's so important to listen to our bodies. Had I not listened to my cravings, my daughter might not be as healthy.

I still remember my Bedouin beautiful grandmother (from North Africa)and her tray of stuffed dates with raw butter, she made herself, and some almond in the middle, sometimes. She served them to my grandfather with their late afternoon coffee under the fig tree, sitting on the ground on cushions stuffed with sheep wool. I also remember her serving her daughter-in-law a bowl of cooked fenugreek seeds with raw honey for post partum nourishment..she would soak the fenugreek seeds in water overnight, next day rinse them and cook them, when cool add raw running honey, sometimes she would sprinkle some almonds too. As a kid a loved them and now I still make them when I feel down. As for fasting, I cringe when I hear about pregnant or breastfeeding women fasting, it's so dangerous. As a Muslim fasting a whole month of Ramadan, pregnant and breastfeeding women are not permitted to fast, as it's dangerous to their health and their babies. People need to search thing well before starting on anything they haven't done before. Well done young lady and all the best to you and your baby🥰💕

@@dear_totheheart thank you for your kind words..yep people used to live together and look after each other, now it's only me me me.. as for the diet industry it's crazy..the problem is people are eating highly processed foods and then start these crazy diets...we need to eat all but local, in season and as organic as possible because I know not everyone can afford it. I'm lucky as I grow most of my food or forage or barter with local small organic farms for raw milk, cheeses and meats...I have my own chickens and ferment almost everything...I moved out of London UK over ten years ago to here in the mountains in central Europe, I have a small old stone house but nothing else, no car, no washing machine or central heating or hot running water, just my trusty wood stove, no TV or fridge or computer, just this old mobile phone with a limited access to internet..no job too..but honestly I am the healthiest and happiest I've ever been...I use ash to wash dishes, clothes, I make my soap, vinegars, candles,etc...and as I remember my beautiful grandmother, I try to apply what she did and how she lived... Love and peace to you all. 🥰💕

I gained way less with my B+ girl as I am B-, gained way more with my O+ girl and with my third I think I won’t gain as much as he’s I think my type or rhesus negative too, but that’s for science of the future to affirm. Definitely NOT calories in or out, nothing about calories when kids are of different origins…

I am curious what you think is an appropriate amount of time to be trying these food changes, to see the positive effects that this way of eating produces. I do personally think that some of the reasons for for pushing for suppliments here in America has also been because of lack of nutrition in in our foods in general, cooked and raw. It has been found that our foods being consistently bred to produce bigger have as a result lost nutrition along the way.
I am encouraged by seeing someone do something like this successfully, it's something I strive for my family as well, and always good to get some extra tips as well. My family actually is trying to take that extra step and try to grow our own food, and help others out there to be able to do so as well. I really appreciate the information you put in your videos.😊

Raw milk is great. I grew up drinking raw milk. We had friends with dairy cows, so my parents bought our milk directly from our friends. And then my pastor got a couple of milk cows and we bought our milk from him. He believed raw milk was healthiest, so the whole church was buying raw milk.

    • @EloraLiveZ
      @EloraLiveZ Год назад +1

Raw milk may be better than processed milk but it still has tons of hormones that disrupt the endocrine system and thyroid.
Its not actually a healthy food since despite the benefits it still harms the body terribly, its directly connected to cancer growth and causes inflammation :( not something I would ever recommend in good conscience.
It also causes acidity in the body which makes the body have to pull calcium from the bones to adjust the ph. Pretty harmful and here we were thinking it was good for calcium.
Calcium in milk is not bioavailable and causes a decrease in calcium in the body.
      If its fermented its better.

    • @naomimay82

@@EloraLiveZ As an adult, I do not consume dairy. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I avoid dairy and gluten, and eat almost exclusively plant foods. I do allow for a little meat every once in awhile. Because of being hypothyroid, my estrogen became dominant. Dairy is loaded with estrogen. I cannot handle having dairy at all anymore. It does several really bad things to me. Most people I know enjoy it on the regular though.

I have always had a diet high in dairy, even for decades as a mostly vegetarian, & even when trending vegan several days a week, the other days I had dairy, but just conventional pasteurised dairy. As a result, I have higher than average bone density for my age, bar for one area of my spine, which is still in the normal range. However, 18 months of drinking raw milk healed my long standing night blindness. For people & populations who retain lactase capacity, dairy truly is a super food. Taking lactase enzyme, drinking a2 rather than A1 casein milk, & choosing fermented &/or raw if safely available, makes these benefits available to the broader population. Traditionally vegetarian populations have better adult & child health outcomes associated with higher animal derived food content, in traditional diets this means typically raw dairy, & sometimes including eggs.

Thank you for such an informative and kind video. As you stated, balance is very important and your diet sounds very healthy. If more people would listen to their own body for food needs, it would benefit their health. Society has put bad labels on healthy food in the name of greed. Margarine was never healthy as it is a trans fat, yet in the mid-1900's it was suppose to be so much better than butter. Food facts change depending on who benefits from any study done by a funded company. I have a nutrition degree and your video was an absolute delight to watch. I just found your RUclips channel a couple of weeks ago, and I am catching up with older video's while looking forward to your next post. Thank you again. Your hair is gorgeous.

We definitely eat pretty close to our foods natural form, but, it is so easy to go through cycles of eating way too many carbs and not enough nutrient dense foods. it is omething we have felt conviction about, and I guess just trust God to provide ways to source /buy these foods.

I started following your channel a few weeks ago because of my thinning hair. My hair is already looking better thanks to daily scalp massage and my new boar bristle brush. I am grateful for all the hair care tips you have shared.
Have you tried Medjoul dates stuffed with goat cheese? Or maybe half a walnut or pecan.
In my part of Ontario we can get Saugeen Country Kefir and yoghourt. The dairy is actually down the road from me but I buy their products at Foodland. Their kefir is, by far, the best I’ve ever eaten. Even better than my own homemade. My homemade sauerkraut, however, IS the best I’ve ever eaten and we eat our own fermented veggies daily. I have friends on a waitlist for their turn to score a jar. I have successfully taught 3 generations of my family how to ferment foods including my granddaughter when she was only 3 years old. Now 8, she has since expanded her repertoire to include peppers and ginger carrot sticks. I’m so proud of her.

I have a question, I had been consuming far more milk, eggs, cheese, etc. and haven't been eating really any processed foods and yet the last time I went to the doctors they said my cholesterol was very high and seemed to infer that it was on track to become an issue. I was curious your thoughts on this as milk, cheese, and eggs all have high fat and cholesterol but they're supposed to be so much better for you...for instance they mentioned avoiding whole milk and drinking low fat/skim and only getting low fat yogurt and other dairy...which doesn't seem to be true given all the nutrients of whole dairy. I'm so torn and confused with modern medicine and traditional recommendations and what's true. Any suggestions from you or others about the cholesterol aspect would be great to hear

I don't know about the dairy, but one study showed that "the risk of cardiovascular disease was not higher among people consuming one egg per day than among those not consuming any eggs. Studies by Shin and Tran have shown that egg consumption may increase the incidence of cardiovascular disease in diabetics."

My gran (10 kids) did not take pre-natals (this was war era Belgium, Europe, it just did not exist). She lost a couple teeth due to the babies taking her calcium supply. My mom? Same thing, in the 1970s, pre-natals still did not exist here. She lost 3 teeth due to being pregnant with me. I mean... IMHO it's fine, but it's still a risk, even though you eat the best you can eat. My mom was super healthy!

    -
Also, a lot of people sensitive to histamines cannot consume bone broth because it is a high histamine food and gives them stomachache and diarrhea :(
I wont even get started on grains (which all have gluten) and are toxic to all healthy humans. Fermenting them (sourdough) doesnt touch the gluten. I used to be an avid baker.
Rice has the least amount of gluten and once you detox you cant go back.
Grains are directly linked to aggression in people, poor impulse control especially in children, heavy on the mental issues, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, cancer growth, destroys the intestinal lining, tricks the immune system to attack the thyroid, auto immune diseases, what people call “effects of aging”…. And if you read in Genesis you see that grains were actually given to Adam as a punishment, a curse, for sinning after the snake and Eve were also cursed.
    Grains are complete poison.
For something to be considered “food” according to the dictionary, it has to be nutritious AND have the ability to sustain life and growth, not the opposite.
Spirulina is chlorella on steroids! Hehe

Paleo is a really good way to live, very nutrient rich anti inflammatory way to eat. It helps and give your body what it needs to heal itself and detox effectively.

@@thedoodle2009 I just can’t imagine with eating 4 eggs a day, let alone all the other high amounts of saturated fat and animal products she consumes, her cholesterol just can’t be low at all. My LDL is very low and my HDL is higher than my LDL so I am good but I eat a totally different diet than she does. It just worries me, I don’t want others to blatantly take her word when she says saturated fats in high amounts are healthy (which they are not) and a high cholesterol is NOT helpful during pregnancy (It can actually lead to tons of problems). And a pre-natal is advised even if you are ‘sure’ you’re getting everything you need from your diet. I know this will be her fifth fucking kid and she may not have had many problems, but others may not be so lucky. I don’t care how people eat really, I just am worried about the baby, obviously.

@@bionikpaws3149 I eat like this and my overall health is waaaaay better than when I was eating a low fat, mostly plant based diet. I sometimes eat 6 eggs a day or more lol. And prenatals are something that North Americans are obsessed with, but it's not really a big thing in the rest of the world. It's all about marketing. Working on the health field, I was shocked when I moved to the US and saw how obsessed people are with prenatals, but then they barely bother trying to get those nutrients from food... especially bc a bunch of the nutrients found in those multivitamins are barely absorbed, or in forms that are less than ideal, and they're not that hard to come by from dietary sources. Also incredibly expensive for what they offer. It shocks me when I see people worried about a woman eating whole, nutrient dense foods that have been consumed forever, but then advise taking multivitamins lol upside down world.

The amount of misinformation here is shocking. I'd rather believe a medical doctor than someone on RUclips, a thousand times over and I advise other people to do the same. There's a reason pregnant women are told to avoid eating liver and are advised prenatal vitamins - folic acid is extremely important and not just that, it's almost impossible to meet the daily requirement of iron through diet alone, during pregnancy. Also, salt increases retention of water causing edema, when pregnant women are already prone to developing swollen limbs. Ugh, I can't anymore with this video.

Thanks so much!!🥺🥲I read Dr. Price’s book 8 years ago when I was breastfeeding my first and got my first ever cavity😔 i found some raw milk (sold for pets) in Mississippi and my tooth pain went away, but then the cow dried up before I could get more and it took another year or 2 of searching to find another farmer. I had to get that cavity filled.
Do you have advice for someone allergic to meat? I found i have only been able to eat sardines and cod liver oil. I went on the autoimmune protocol diet for my chronic virus (fruit, veg, meat) and felt fantastic, but tried organic grass fed beef liver and had a horrible reaction. If you’re debating trying liver for the first time and don’t have a chronic virus, i wouldn’t be worried. I think because i was so sensitive already, whatever toxins the cow’s liver had filtered out to protect the cow really did not agree with me. I tried reintroducing chicken (extremely allergic) and salmon (i tolerated a few bites) but it’s been difficult to reintroduce sourdough bread, eggs, or grass-fed dairy yogurt/cheese etc because i stay busy and can’t afford to be wiped out from a bad food reaction. I find that i have to push all my meals into the middle of the day and eat light snacks (which are also difficult to find in MS because of seed oils in everything here).
I found Misfits Market which ships organic produce and some healthier grain-free snacks and foods to your door. And a town 20 min from me has a health food store with other things i can have when I’m waiting on a Misfits box.
But any tips for “unintentional vegans” would be so appreciated! I did used to be able to eat a Dr Price diet several years ago but right now I’m healing and so sensitive and busy/committed i don’t have time to experiment with and test out foods that might make me have to miss work.
It’s difficult but the Lord Jesus has guided me this far and brought me to you and to others and has answered my prayers for help through this by having these people’s videos pop up and having friends share their research and resources❤
It’s been “slower” than the mainstream approach, but that’s actually good! Part of the reason I’m so sick is because of adverse reactions to pharma and otcs. So to me, and from my observations of others’ health problems, mainstream mindset=fast but ineffective, and traditional mindset=slow but effective
